Historic Tornado Outbreak: 3 Days, 241 Tornadoes, 14 States...

From Thursday, April 14, 2011 to Saturday, April, 16, 2011, devastating tornadoes rampaged across communities of the southern United States. Cities and towns from Oklahoma to North Carolina were assaulted by the deadly twisters.
The tornado outbreak led to a total of 241 tornado reports in 14 states over the three-day period. This will likely rank this tornado outbreak among the largest in history.
Tragically, the death toll has risen to 39 people so far with dozens of others injured. The number of fatalities could rise as investigations continue. This tornado outbreak already ranks as the most deadly outbreak since the 2008 Super Tuesday tornado outbreak.
In North Carolina alone, close to two dozen people were killed on Saturday, while seven people were killed in Alabama on Friday.
One of the reasons for the deadly outcome of this tornado outbreak is likely due to the highly populated areas of the nation that were hit. The weather pattern can explain why these highly populates areas were struck.
Jackson, Miss., and Raleigh, N.C., are among the large cities that were struck by large, devastating twisters.
Numerous homes, businesses, churches and even schools have been severely damaged or destroyed in the path of the tornadoes.
Setup for Deadly Tornado Outbreak
Three ingredients were in place to allow this violent tornado outbreak to occur from the southern Plains to the Southeast: a powerful jet stream, abundant moisture and a strong cold front.
A powerful jet stream helped to enhance the thunderstorm growth, while moisture surging in from the Gulf of Mexico acted as fuel for the thunderstorms.
A strong cold front plowing across the South was the trigger that initiated the thunderstorm development.
The difference in the direction of wind in the upper atmosphere, southwesterly, and the lower atmosphere, southerly to southeasterly, added a twisting motion that helped the severe thunderstorms to develop a rotation. Thus, the wind difference with height, referred to as wind shear by meteorologists, made the severe thunderstorms more likely to produce tornadoes.
There are a couple of factors that are making this year a more active severe weather year compared to normal and compared to last year.
The first factor is that the water in Gulf of Mexico is warmer than last year. This means that there is very warm, moist air in supply for storm systems to tap into and provide fuel for severe weather.
The second is that we are in one of the strongest La Nina patterns in recorded history.
"The strong La Nina pattern means that tremendous contrasts in air masses, with cool and dry air to the north and warm and steamy air to the south, are occurring over the Mississippi Valley. This puts many highly populated areas in the path of dangerous severe weather," said AccuWeather.com Expert Senior Meteorologist Henry Margusity.
Ranking of Tornado Outbreak Compared to Historic Outbreaks
This mid-April 2011 tornado outbreak is likely to rank among the largest tornado outbreaks in history with 241 tornado reports.
"There has not been a tornado outbreak in history over three days with this many tornadoes spawned by a single storm system," according to Margusity.
The notorious 1974 tornado outbreak, which occurred on April 3-4, 1974, produced 148 tornadoes over the course of two days and is thought of as one of the largest and deadliest tornado outbreak in history from one storm system.
In the infamous May 2003 tornado outbreak sequence (May 4-10), 401 tornadoes occurred. However, multiple storm systems moving from the Southwest into the Plains triggered these tornadoes.
"In 2004, there was a two-day tornado outbreak which produced 170 twisters. In the 2008 Super Tuesday tornado outbreak, there was 131 reported tornadoes in one day," added Margusity.
At this stage, an exact comparison to historic outbreaks in terms of the strength and number of tornadoes cannot be made. It will take weeks for the tornado surveys, which determine the strength and exact number of tornadoes, to be conducted.

more destructive.
Homes that have crucifixes on all the outside doors have been saved from fire, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, storms, riots, etc.
The Blood of the Lamb...

Crucifix has Great Power...
Jesus - "We demand a crucifix, because demons - many of
the highest ones in the realms of hell cannot stand the sight of a crucifix.
They will not approach your door. I give you this knowledge, My children,
though it is not common knowledge, My children, though it is not common
knowledge upon earth, that the crucifix has great power against satan."

Jesus - "My child, We specifically brought you here
this evening after the last trial of the past week. This was allowed to come
upon you with no destruction to your home. However, you knew the fear of
fleeing to the mountains. We directed you, My child, and you did well. And you
escaped having to suffer the hours of darkness, and the sound of the howling of
the winds, and the rise of the waters. But, My child and My children, it will
happen again, but this time it will claim lives.
"Do not be affrighted, My child; I did not say that this will happen to your
home on Long Island again. You suffered not the moments of terror. We did not
wish for you to succumb from sorrow at that time, My child, so We sent you to
the mountains; and you returned once the winds had died down to find a home
still intact.
"I must reveal, My children, to the world again, that you are to keep a
crucifix on your front door and your back door. All entrances to your home must
be guarded by the crucifix. There has not been one home on Long Island that had
a crucifix on its door that did fall to any evil. I do not speak of the trees,
My child; I speak of mankind. You did not know a major disaster as has
happened, My children, in Mexico. You see, My child, I set you down in that
area to bring the word to mankind, and it was through these words that many
listened and the passed through the horrible experience of a hurricane."

Many people have had their homes protected from disaster by having a crucifix on the outside of their outside doors.
Dear Bayside Shrine Workers,
A tornado passed through our town of Westlake, Louisiana early in the
morning of January 13, 1995. No damage came to our house, but two trees fell
down in my mother’s front yard. The electric light utility pole on my mother’s
house broke during the storm, and a neighbor said he saw a big flash of fire
spread right across the utility pole on to the top of my mother’s roof, but no
damage came. The fire vanished almost immediately. My trailer was rocking with
the wind, so was my grandmother’s trailer house, too, but no damage to either
one of them. An electric fire also flashed over my grandmother’s trailer on the
roof, but no damage.
My mother, my grandmother, and my sister--we all have blessed wooden
crucifixes on the outside doors of our houses. We also have the blessed Rose
Petals, the holy statues of Our Lady, and the Green Scapulars in our homes. We
all give thanks to Our Lady of the Roses for sparing us any damages on our
homes. Also, our Bayside group gets out the Bayside directives and the messages
of Bayside in our area. We believe this work has spared our area from much
disaster in the past of floods, tornadoes and storms.

Crucifixes on door saves H & H Store...
On June 30, 1984, Jesus said: "And also, My children, I ask you
again to place a crucifix upon your door. Both front and back doors must have a
crucifix. I say this to you because there will be carnage within your areas,
and this will pass you by if you keep your crucifix upon your doors."
Let us now see the factual proof of Heaven’s protection, to those who follow
Our Lady’s counsel. At a "Stop ‘n’ Go" shop at the corner of Jackson St. and
Orange Ave. in Paramount, looters broke the windows and cleaned the store of
$20,000 to $40,000 in merchandise, including freezers. One clerk there
exclaimed, "Everything was taken!" Two weeks later it was just starting to
reopen again to customers.
Three blocks away, at the corner of Garfield Ave. and Alondra Blvd., was a
different story. "H & H Store," also in Paramount, suffered six broken windows,
not including the broken glass front door. Yet with this difference: Nothing
was taken. Owner Juliette Cota gratefully affirmed, "Nothing taken! Not even
a bar of soap!" A great mystery, considering several of the broken windows were
large enough for the looters to easily pass through. So what was the
difference? The owner had been warned by a local Bayside believer to put up a
crucifix on the front door, and she did. A believer herself, she is now also
telling others why her shop was spared. Her son, fearful of future riots, is
desirous to sell the shop and move. Juliette, the mother and owner, confidently
told us, "I am not afraid."
Dear Veronica,
I sent you a picture that I feel is a miracle of Our Lady of the Roses. We
have the picture, a beautiful statue of Our Lady of the Roses. On the outside,
outdoors it is. As you know, we in Oakland, California, had a terrible disaster
fire that destroyed 3,500 homes. I am enclosing this special statue picture. It
was not touched by the fire, which destroyed all the homes in the block. I
feel this is a precious moment and a photo of the power of the Virgin Mary of
the Roses. Now for our own home, three homes were destroyed by fire, all around
ours. Here is the whole thing. In your literature sent me, it was mentioned
to place a crucifix on your doors, which I did. The fire destroyed our roof and
some trees but our home was spared from destruction. I truly believe the
Blessed Mother protected our home because all homes around us, in back of ours
were completely destroyed. I thought this was noteworthy, and please thank the
Blessed Mother of the Roses in one of your visitations. I pass out all rosaries
and scapulars I get and I am dedicated to serve the Blessed Mother and Jesus as

We live in Western Massachusetts where Hurricane "Bob" came through. We had

On both sides of us people had trees down. Trees were broken in half etc.

eight hours.
