The Pope is Bin Laden's target for Christmas...

The Vatican's security advisor believes the Pope is the prime target of Osama bin Laden. Vince Cannistraro says bin Laden sees His Holiness as a symbolic head of the crusaders. The former CIA anti-terrorism chief says he fears a Christmas assassination attempt.
    Mr Cannistraro says the al-Qaida terror network will attempt an attack during the festive season in revenge for the West's bombing of Afghanistan during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. "The Pope is the prime target because the US continued to bomb during Ramadan," Mr Cannistraro warns. "He looks at the Pope as the symbolic head of the crusaders and a natural target."
    Terrorist experts believe an earlier plot on the Pope's life by Islamic extremists was foiled in 1995 when he visited the Philippines. A spokesman for the Vatican told Ananova: "We never comment on the security arrangements of the Pope."
    Italy's Corriere della Sera newspaper says US Intelligence have uncovered plans to assassinate John Paul II at least 3 times in the last five years.
    Former US President Bill Clinton confirmed the failed plot in the Philippines to kill the Pontiff by a kamikaze pilot crashing a small plane onto the Pope's car. The pilot had been trained in a flight school in the US.

A plot against Pope John Paul II in the Philippines in 1995...
    A published report says that a terrorist plot by Osama Bin Laden against Pope John Paul II during a visit in 1995 to the Philippines was foiled when a miraculous accident caused an explosion in the Manila apartment where a bomb was being readied just a week before the pontiff's visit. The plot involved use of a fragmentary bomb and timer inside a digital watch. When officers investigated they found the apartment laden with a crucifix, Bibles, and cassocks -- indicating that the terrorists were going to disguise themselves as priests. Italian police are now on high alert at all papal functions.
    In recent years, John Paul II has been the object of at least three failed plots on his life by fundamentalist terrorist groups, according to political and press sources. The CIA says the mastermind behind the Philippines plot was terrorist Ramzy Youssef, who has worked under the direction of Bin Laden and who two years earlier organized the first attack on the World Trade Center.
    One of the terrorists set in place in the Philippines was Abdulhakim Alihashim Murad -- who was arrested at Doña Josefa apartment on Quirino Ave., Manila, which is only 150 meters away from the Papal Nunciature House. Murad had training as a pilot. "Authorities also recovered a map covering the areas of Manila, indicating [a plot] to disrupt the visit of the Pope at the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conference at the San Carlos Seminary along Edsa, Guadalupe, Makati City on Jan. 15, 1995," according to the Cebu Sun-Star. Recovered from Murad were also a laptop computer, a map of the Pope's itinerary, and photographs of John Paul II.
    U.S. officials said the plot against the Pope was discovered in January of 1995 when Filipino firemen were summoned to the apartment in response to reports of smoke billowing from the windows. The firefighters called in police when they found smoldering chemicals in the empty apartment, according to the Charlotte Observer. Later, authorities confiscated a computer disk that described plans to blow up a dozen 747 jumbo jets over the Pacific Ocean and to assassinate John Paul II.

I don't know - I don't believe it's Rome, because I cannot see any building that is in Italy, that I recognize. No, this is a foreign land. And I see the Holy Father - he's riding in a car, but this car has no protection.
Our Lady - "I have asked, My child, you to get word through the Eternal Father... prayer is not enough; you must write now, My child... write and write again, and tell him, he must not venture outside of Rome until next year."
    Veronica - I see a large gathering of people. And I see a man. He's dressed as a cleric, the clergy. He has in his left hand a knife. It's a long knife - no, it's like a saber... I don't know ... he's pulling it out of his pants. It seems to be in his pant leg near his belt. And it's very long. And he's pulling it out with his left hand and starting to raise it, and with his right hand he has a revolver, a small gun - not a shotgun, a small gun. And he's screaming, and everything has become silent about him with the screams, "Death to the Pope! Death to the Pope!"
    And then people are frozen in shock. They don't jump on him. (Veronica raises her voice in anxiety, pleading for someone in the crowd to act in defense of the Pope): Jump on him! Get them! Stop him!
But now it's becoming black, a somber blackness upon the sky, and I can't see the people anymore.
    Our Lady - "Yes, My child, you have now received a most explicit picture of the actions being planned by the enemies of God.
Bishops have not consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart....
Our Lady - "O My child, I have often asked your bishops and all clergy to consecrate Russia to My Immaculate Heart. And have they done this to date? No, My child, they fear more - I say they fear more the rebuttal from the clergy..."
    Veronica - Now I see the same man. The sky is opening up and we're back again to the same place. And I see a man jumping forward and grabbing this man dressed as a clergy about his neck. And he turns, and he stabs this poor soul.
    Our Lady now is touching Her lips...
    Our Lady - "Repeat, My child, after Me:
    "Unless you pray for your Vicar, Pope John Paul II, he will be removed from among you. And if this takes place, there will be far worse sacrilege committed in the city of Rome and the parishes throughout the world.
Directions From Rome Cast Aside
    "Up to this time, My child and My children, you know full well that the wishes and the directives from Rome, from the Eternal Father in Heaven, through Pope John Paul II, they have been cast aside, each and every individual going his own way and making My Son's House a shambles."
