Abortion: America’s demise...

Senator Mary Landrieu: In Louisiana, yet another pro-abortion “Catholic” politician

"For that one reason among many, the United States will suffer unless there is placed into your government a group that fears the Lord if they cannot love the Lord. They will fear Him and find measures to stop the slaughter of the unborn."  - Our Lady, April 14, 1984

According to an article in the Dec. 8-14, 2002 issue of the National Catholic Register:

Two Catholic women, pro-abortion Democrat Sen. Mary Landrieu, and her pro-life Republican challenger, Suzie Terrell, are going to head-to-head in a runoff for the 100th seat in the U.S. Senate. The Nov. 5 race in Louisiana was inconclusive, triggering a state law requiring a runoff....

In the weeks leading up to the election, Landrieu’s support for the abortion agenda got the attention of influential Catholics.

Danny Loar, executive director of the Louisiana Catholic Conference, maintained that with control of the Senate in Republican hands, the only real issue in the race would be abortion.

“I think it’s a critical election. Unfortunately, a lot of Catholics in southern Louisiana think Landrieu is pro-life,” Loar said. “That is certainly not the case. Her voting record is certainly pro-abortion.”

Apostate Catholics

Cardinal Newman once said, “It is a miserable time when a man’s [or woman’s] Catholic profession is no voucher for his orthodoxy, and when a teacher of religion may be within the Church’s pale, yet external to her faith.” (The Idea of a University, “A Form of Infidelity of the Day,” par. 2, section 1)

It is indeed a miserable time for the Catholic Faith when numerous pro-abortion “Catholics” can rise to the highest offices of government and seduce the populace into thinking that they can remain Catholic, yet at the same time reject the Church’s teaching against abortion. But that is what now exists in the United States. “Catholics” such as Ted Kennedy, Tom Daschle, Nancy Pelosi, Jennifer Granholm and Mary Landrieu all support abortion in open rebellion to the Church yet continue to receive Holy Communion, which is a sacrilege.

Excommunication for these culture of death “Catholics” would truly be the loving thing to do. As St. Francis de Sales writes in his Introduction to the Devout Life:

“Here I am especially speaking of the open enemies of God and His Church; they must be publicly branded just as often as possible. It is a deed of love to cry the alarm when the wolf breaks into the sheepfold” (Part III, Chap. 29).

The Bible warns us: “Now I beseech you, brethren, to mark them who make dissensions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned, and avoid them. For they that are such, serve not Christ our Lord, but their own belly; and by pleasing speeches and good words, seduce the hearts of the innocent.” (Romans 16:7-18)

While these pro-abortion “Catholic” politicians seduce the populace and misrepresent Church teaching, where are our bishops? Are they protecting the blessed Sacrament by banning pro-abortion Catholics from partaking of holy Communion? Are they putting these straying Catholic politicians on notice that they stand in danger of eternal damnation unless they change? Are they protecting the rest of their flock from the scandal and misrepresentation of Church teaching that these pro-abortion politicians are spreading?

Our Lady of the Roses has warned and warned the Catholic bishops:

"The sin of omission shall condemn many to hell, be they layman or hierarchy. I repeat: not the sin of commission, but the sin of omission will commit many to hell. Among them there will also be mitres." - Our Lady, October 6, 1980

Senator Landrieu’s views are not compatible with the Catholic Church. Pope John Paul II cites as an error a view held by pro-abort Mary Landrieu, that a “politician, in his or her activity, should clearly separate the realm of private conscience from that of public conduct.” (Evangelium Vitae, #69). He also points out that popular consensus will never determine what is good or what is evil, and furthermore states that Catholics may not obey an unjust law (such as the permitting of abortion on demand in the United States): “In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it, or to take part in a propaganda campaign in favor of such a law, or vote for it.” (Evangelium Vitae, #73)

The Holy Father further states that abortion is always and everywhere a grave moral evil:

“Therefore, by the authority which Christ conferred upon Peter and his Successors, in communion with the bishops—who are various occasions have condemned abortion and who in the aforementioned consultation, albeit dispersed throughout the world, have shown unanimous agreement concerning this doctrine declare that direct abortion, that is, abortion willed as an end or as a means, always constitutes a grave moral disorder, since it is the deliberate killing of an innocent human being. This doctrine is based upon the natural law and upon the written Word of God, is transmitted by the Church’s Tradition and taught by the ordinary and universal Magisterium.” (Evangelium Vitae, #62)

On December 16, 1997, Pope John Paul II warned the United States:

“The United States of America was founded on the conviction that an inalienable right to life was a self-evident moral truth, fidelity to which was a primary criterion of social justice.... Whenever a certain category of people--the unborn or the sick and old--are excluded from that protection, a deadly anarchy subverts the original understanding of justice. The credibility of the United States will depend more and more on its promotion of a genuine culture of life, and on a renewed commitment to building a world in which the weakest and most vulnerable are welcomed and protected.”

In 1995, Archbishop William Levada gave very clear instruction against those who claimed to be pro-abortion Catholic politicians:

“The individual politician, like any Catholic, who is at odds with the teaching of the Church about the principle involved, i.e., that abortion constitutes the killing of innocent human life and is always gravely immoral (cf. Evangelium Vitae, nn. 57-62), has an obligation to reflect more deeply on the issue, in the hope of allowing the persuasive character of this infallibly taught teaching to become part of his belief and value system. I say infallibly taught not because Pope John Paul II has assumed in Evangelium Vitae the special prerogative recognized for individual papal teachings in the First Vatican Council, but rather because he has called attention explicitly to the fact that Catholic teaching on abortion has been an infallible doctrine of the Church by virtue of the universal ordinary Magisterium, recognized for the teachings of the Pope and worldwide college of bishops together by the Second Vatican Council. It should be clear, then, that every Catholic is required to accept this teaching as a matter of faith, and that any Catholic who would deny it would separate himself from the unity of Catholic faith and practice which is the fundamental condition for Church membership. Here I note by way of aside that Catholic "membership," unlike that of some other religious bodies, is not a matter of "enrollment" but rather of "belonging" to the Body of Christ, whose condition is the full profession of Catholic faith and the reception of Baptism as the beginning of a life of sacramental worship and moral living in accord with the teachings of Christ.” (Catholic Sentinel, June 2, 1995)

"Our hearts are torn because of the wanton murder of the young by evil man. Abortion, My children, is murder, the most foulest of deeds, that is punishable by death!  And what is worse than death of the soul? I say unto you, as your Mother, that any man or woman who performs or takes part of this abomination of the murder of the unborn shall be given a heavy penance upon earth, or if this penance is not given upon earth, that person found guilty in the eyes of his God shall suffer eternal damnation in the fires of hell." – Our Lady, December 28, 1976

The amazing Bayside Prophecies...
These prophecies came from Jesus, Mary, and the saints to Veronica Lueken at Bayside, NY, from 1968 to 1995.

SIN CONDONED UNTO THE HIGHEST COURT OF YOUR LAND
"Are you so blind that you do not recognize the acceleration of sin among you? Murders abound, thievery, all manner of carnage, destruction of young souls, abortion, homosexuality, condemned from the beginning of time by the Eternal Father. Yet sin has become a way of life. Sin is condoned now, even unto the highest judge of your land and your lands throughout the world. As you have sown so shall you reap. Sin is death, not only of the spirit, but of the body. Wars are a punishment for man's sin, his greed, his avarice." - Our Lady, August 14, 1981

THE DAYS ARE NUMBERED
"The days are numbered for your country. Murders will abound. You will see insanity among mankind, for sin is insanity. Brother against brother, children against parents, slander and scandal, murders, abortion. What manner of sin can I not count and list for you that does not stand in lieu of judgment?" - Jesus, May 30, 1981

OATH
"Your once loyal to the oath of a doctor, your once loyal doctors are now butchers! For money they kill the young!" - Our Lady, February 10, 1978

DESTROYED
"All who become part of or condone abortion, the murder of the young, shall be destroyed! " - Jesus, June 2, 1979
