Excerpt from the report:
The present Middle East upheaval has serious political and financial implications for the entire world. It started in Tunisia, where that government was overthrown a month or so ago, and quickly spread to Egypt, Yemen, Jordon, Syria, and now threatens the entire region - including Saudi Arabia. The reason for the upheaval (aka revolutions) are many faceted. Of course, all of the Islamic regimes in the region are authoritarian - run by dictators, presidents-for-life, or monarchs. So periodic rebellions are normal occurrences, and are usually put down quickly and brutally by the regime and its military (or police).
