Breaking News: Wall Street Shocked By Food Shortage, USDA Cover-Up!

We've been telling you about the coming food shortage and have examined the causes in depth. However, the cover-up by the USDA, which we first reported in April, has been so convincing that it wasn't until recently that commodities analysts learned that one million fewer acres of corn had been planted this year than previously believed and that warehouses were holding 300 million fewer bushels of corn than thought.

Reports from India indicate the drought there has put the global rice supply at risk, while the heat wave in Virginia threatens crops, and a lack of rainfall in the Middle East is threatening crops in an already drought-stricken region. Of course, no one has yet picked up on the crisis which awaits us as toxic rain from the Gulf oil disaster impacts crops in the southeast, possibly rendering them inedible.

As Wall Street, the commodities traders and investors realize the extent of the food crisis we're facing, you can expect food prices to skyrocket. Even the food already on the shelves will go up in price as retailers try to cover their losses and panicked consumers flock to the stores to stock up. They know that people will be forced to eat less as prices go through the roof.

And yet, in Latin America and Asia the population is booming, so the food supply is under serious long-term pressure even without the natural disasters and government interference. Meanwhile, western governments continue head-long into their global warming alternative fuel scheme which will tap our dwindling food supply further. It's hard to believe that while we're running out of food they're determined to use it to make gasoline, but these are the 'Alice In Wonderland' days we live in.

If governments around the world were not conspiring to deprive the public of the information, the markets would have the information to react and begin to forecast prices, allowing the consuming public to respond and begin to prepare, just as our ancestors did in times of crisis. Regrettably, the cover-up deprives most consumers of this information, which is why they remain ignorant of the crisis and dependent on 'just in time' food delivery methods.

By the way, I'm often asked why the government is covering up the food shortage, and the answer is as simple as it is frightening; the powerful elite require significant threats to our lifestyle to gain the popular support for centralization of power. They know that as long as most of us are 'fat, dumb and happy', we won't consent to a radical reworking of government and society, but as soon as people are skipping meals, fear becomes outrage and outrage leads to revolution.

This pattern has been repeated time and time again. In the last century we can see how Hitler used the economic misery of his people (following the crushing sanctions of the Versailles Treaty), to build electoral majorities and back his plans at nationalization and government expansion. The people tolerated the loss of liberties and put aside their fears because they were so desperate. Remember, Hitler was an elected politician in a highly educated, democratic and Christian nation with a long history of law and order and yet, Hitler and his national socialists were able to gain control and use it to their ends.

The same future awaits our country. Despite the growth of government and the economic tragedies brought on our people by the banksters and their friends in government, we are still surviving. People are catching on and waking up, which is why the conspirators will have to get even more aggressive.

Manipulating the food supply to bring about shortages while hiding the very fact of the crisis will insure not only panic, but social unrest.

That unrest will require strong and swift use of force, the curtailing of civil liberties, the confiscation of weapons and hard currency, the closure of banks, a declaration of martial law, and now we've discovered, even shutting down the internet for four months...or longer.

With the country in a virtual state of imprisonment, food supplies will disappear and prices will be unaffordable even for the lucky few who have something to barter with. Perhaps you are like many and are buying gold and silver...but what if you are forced to exchange a gold coin presently worth $1,200 for a pound of potatoes because your family is starving? Will the gold seem like a good investment under those circumstances? If you do not have your own food source, you will starve or will be forced to join the food line, where you will exchange your liberties, your dignity...even your faith for a ration card. It has all happened before...and it is the means to controlling the population.

That's why I'm writing to you today. It is absolutely critical that you develop food independence. It's more important than building your armory, buying solar panels, investing in gold or buying a 100 acre retreat in rural nowhere, because without food you won't survive long enough to need self defense skills. And yet, in a recent poll fully half of our readers admitted they wouldn't make it past a month 'off grid'.
