Christchurch Earthquake: 150 Feared Dead on New Zealand's 'Darkest Day'...
Our Lady - "My child, the
earthquakes will increase now. There will be one in New York. Now, My child, I
tell you this to prepare. You are allowed, My child, to experience all
that mankind can suffer. How well you listened to Us when We told you to
place on your shelves cans of food, jars of water, blankets. You found it
very cold, My child, without heat and without light, and without any form of
recreation other then to pray. And that was God's way of letting the world
know that they will be on their knees; and one of these days they will be
prayer, for many the first time in many years. But why, My children, must
We allow all these disasters to happen to you, and have to bring you to your
knees in prayer? Can you not listen, and can you not seek for the truth,
all who call themselves atheists, and those who have half - hearted interest in
religion at all? They call it a thing of the past. It is not a thing of
the past, but it is a means for your salvation: accept it and you will be saved;
reject it and you will be lost.
"I repeat again, the earthquakes will increase in volume. California
shall be struck. New York shall be struck. As I told you once before,
there will be earthquakes in places that have never known a quake. It will
startle them and frighten them, but will they come to their knees? Few
will, My child, because I can tell you this: they will not have the time to make
amends; that is the sad part, My child and My children." (10-5-85)
The Telegraph reported on February 22, 2011:
At least 65 were killed, according to John Key, the prime minister. Bob Parker, the mayor of Christchurch, added that more than 100 are believed to be trapped in buildings.
The Queen, who is also New Zealand's head of state, expressed her sadness at the 6.3 magnitude quake, saying she was "utterly shocked" by the news. "Please convey my deep sympathy to the families and friends of those who have been killed; my thoughts are with all those who have been affected by this dreadful event," she said. "My thoughts are also with the emergency services and everyone who is assisting in the rescue efforts."
A state of emergency was declared following the quake, which struck at 12.51pm on Tuesday local time (2351GMT Monday), when office blocks and shopping centres in the city centre were bustling with people.
Rescue workers scrambled to free scores of people trapped in buildings, some crews arriving by helicopter because streets were blocked by rubble and jammed traffic.
Officials fear the death toll could double amid reports that more than 200 were trapped in collapsed buildings and wreckage of homes. Bodies were seen lying in the streets, untended until emergency services were able to reach them.
A special "person finder" established by Google, the search engine giant, said it was currently tracking more than 3,600 "records". Twelve Japanese students, from a foreign language school and originally from Toyama city, have been reported missing in the rubble of a Christchurch building.
Bystanders dug with bare hands to rescue survivors trapped under piles of rubble. Some reports said the city had ran out of ambulances, with rescuers forced to use private vehicles.
As night fell, welfare centres become full with locals who could not return to their homes. All Christchurch schools were closed until further notice.
Late on Tuesday the military was sent in to help with rescue efforts as rain started falling and temperatures fell.
Mr Key, the prime minister who has flown to the city, described what he saw as "utter devastation". "We may be witnessing New Zealand's darkest day," he told reporters. "The death toll I have at the moment is 65 and that may rise. "So it's an absolute tragedy for this city, for New Zealand, for the people that we care so much about."
No area throughout the country's second largest city was considered safe as strong aftershocks sent dislodged masonry raining down on to the streets below. Power and water has been cut to most of the city. All Christchurch schools and early childhood services are closed until further notice.
Police warned there would be "multiple fatalities" throughout the region and the fire service said numerous people were trapped and that two buses had been crushed. There were reports of bodied pulled from a youth hostel and bookshop in the city.
The Australian government quickly scrambled rescue and medical teams to area, the Prime Minister Julia Gillard announced.
William Hague, the Foreign Secretary, said Britain stood "ready to provide any assistance that we can". “I was shocked and saddened to hear of the devastating earthquake that struck Christchurch earlier today killing so many people," he said. "The ties that bind the UK with New Zealand are very close and my thoughts are with the friends and families of all those who have lost their lives and been affected by the earthquake. “Many people in the UK with links to New Zealand will be watching anxiously as the situation develops." He added: "Our High Commissioner in New Zealand is on her way to Christchurch and we stand ready to provide any assistance that we can to the authorities and to any British Nationals who have been caught up in the earthquake.”
Hundreds of doctors from around the world gathered in Christchurch for a conference are helping in makeshift hospitals established throughout the city.
The power of the quake, which was far more violent one that struck the city in September, caused the cathedral's spire in the centre of Christchurch to crumble and knocked out phone lines. Several large building were reduced to piles of twisted debris, pipes burst across the city and large holes had appeared in roads.
The city's hospital and airport were evacuated and dozens of shocked and injured residents gathered in open spaces as alarms and sirens sounded across the city. There were scenes of confusion and chaos as police tried to get people out of the city centre as the earth continued to shake during several strong aftershocks.
Streets were gridlocked, glass carpeted the pavements and power was out to 80 per cent of Christchurch.
Footage from the scene showed cars crushed underneath large piles of rubble and several seriously injured people being carried on makeshift stretchers from collapsed buildings.
Distressed people could be seen trapped inside damaged buildings and screaming could be heard as firefighters picked their way though the debris.
The earthquake caused a 30 million-tonne chunk of ice to break off from the Tasman Glacier, more than 150 miles away on the West Coast.
Bill English, the Deputy Prime Minister, said 35 military personal were on the ground providing first aid and support to the city's major most affected areas. Another 250 would arrive in first thing on Wednesday.
The chaotic scenes were far different from last September's "miracle", when no one was killed in a 7.1 magnitude quake.
Tuesday's much shallower quake, just two miles below the surface, caused several office blocks to collapse as well as destroying the 110-year-old Anglican cathedral. It has been described as the worst earthquake to hit the country in 80 years.
Bob Parker, the city's mayor, said the death toll could double. He urged residents to stay at home, conserve water and stay calm. "We are in the middle of a major disaster on global terms," he said. "There are people fighting for their lives at the moment but there are also people fighting for them. "We're in the middle of an extremely serious situation." He added: "We're preparing ourselves for what I think will be a really sad, bleak day for our city but be reassured everybody is doing what they can." "Everybody needs to understand that this is going to be a day of very black news. "This is about as bad as it gets. I think we need to prepare ourselves for a death toll that will be significant."
Gary Moore said he and 19 other colleagues were trapped in their twelfth floor office after the stairwell collapsed in the quake. He did not know if people on other floors were trapped. "We watched the cathedral collapse out our window while we were holding onto the walls," Mr Moore said. "Every aftershock sends us rushing under the desks. It's very unnerving but we can clearly see there are other priorities out the window. There has been a lot of damage and I guess people are attending to that before they come and get us."
The Pyne Gould Guinness Building, a multi-storey building containing more than 200 workers, has collapsed and an unknown number of people are trapped inside.
Television pictures showed rescuers, many of them office workers, dragging severely injured people from the rubble. Many had blood streaming down their faces.
Bob Bufton, who was in a having lunch in a Thai restaurant when the quake struck, said it was "horrendous". "The young ladies in the restaurant were screaming, it was tremendous, the last quake was nothing compared to this. "I looked down the street and there was just dust."
Peter Beck, Dean of the Anglican Cathedral, said he had no idea of how many people were inside when the building fell.
Christchurch resident Jaydn Katene told the New Zealand Herald:"We've had friends in town call us and say there are just bodies lying around. "Lots of dead bodies outside shops just lying there, just covered in bricks. "When it hit we were knocked to our feet. Everything in the house fell down, nothing was left still standing. "The roads are completely torn up, sewage coming up and flooding. "The elderly are all crying," said Mr Katene. "We've seen cars halfway sunken into the road. "We've heard there's a bus which is sunken halfway into the road, just around the corner. "Buildings are half-collapsed everywhere. "It smells horrible. The roads are packed with cars. "There aren't enough police or ambulances. Houses are all collapsing. "It's pretty shocking, a total war zone." The quake was felt as far away as Wellington, on the North Island.
New Zealand sits on the Pacific "ring of fire" — an arc of earthquake and volcanic zones stretching from Chile in South America through Alaska and down through the South Pacific.
It records more than 14,000 earthquakes a year — but only about 150 are felt by residents, and fewer than 10 a year do any damage.

Great earthquake coming to New York and California...

Great earthquakes coming to Los Angles and New York...

There is a great split in the earth (U.S.) that is widening...

thing that you can do with an errant child when they do not listen, and that is
to shake them up, My child. I realize this is not something for jest; it is but

Tragedies and disasters shall increase . . .

mankind of earth. You have received fair warning from the Queen of Heaven. You

Work
to accelerate when tremors come . . .

children, the work for Heaven will accelerate when the tremors come to the
earth. Be ye warned that houses will blow in the wind. And if this does not
bring man back to his senses, then skin shall dry up on the bones and blow away
as if it had never been! Many will see this, My children, and still not believe
that it is the hand of God upon man, because the hearts of man have been

Hunger in America . . .
Our Lady - "My children in the
United States of America, must you go hungry? Many parts of your country shall
suffer from want of food, for the winter will be cold. Many shall die in the
coming year, My children. There will be accidents that are not accidents. Hunger
shall be in the homes of many." 12-7-78)
Store canned goods, water and blankets . .

"My children, I caution you now, and I wish that you remember these instructions
from several years ago in earth's time that I gave to you, to keep in your homes
a good supply of canned good. They have shelf value, My children, they will not
spoil. But better that you keep them and they spoil than to have come upon you
the great Chastisement. It will be a ball of fire which will ignite many of the
chemicals that are being stored up for the destruction of the nations.

Earthquakes, famine, starvation. . .
Our Lady -
"Earthquakes in your country, the United States, extending up through Canada,

they will know it comes but from the hand of God. Famine, starvation, your crops
will rot. The heat will burn, the cattle will starve. And why? Because you
refuse to turn back, complacent in your arrogance." (5-30-81)
US - another tremendous earthquake...
Our Lady - "You cannot count your
earth - years as being long any longer. If only I could show you, the prideful
and boastful United States and Canada - if I could show you what the enemy has
in store for you now, you would grovel on your knees to make restitution to the
Eternal Father. But now this must be taught to you in a most sorrowful way.
"Your country, My child, the United States, shall know of another tremendous
earthquake. I know this grips your heart with fear, My child, but you will see
and understand." (3-18-89)
The earthquake in Guatemala . . .
Our Lady - "You must not, My
child, concern yourself with questioning the ways of the Eternal Father. I
assure you, the majority of the dead, My child, were prepared. In their
poorness of material in this world, they nourished their souls with grace in
faith.
"The huge earth tremors and the destruction thereof was given for reason.
Accept and learn by these warnings from Heaven. Your country, the United States
of America, and other countries of your earth have been consecrated to My Heart,
My children. It is for this reason that many have been spared in those areas
the grievous trials that are now starting for mankind.
"There will be accidents that are not accidents, tremors in areas never
before experiencing these terrors!
"As in the past, My child, I made it known through you and others that many
shall be removed from your world.
"We in Heaven, My children, are not concerned of your body. It is the
destruction of your eternal souls, or its salvation, that is of major
importance.” (2-10-76)
Eruptions
and manifestations shall bring terror to the hearts of many . . .
Veronica - The sky is taking on
a very strange glow. The usual blue lights are replaced now by a deep green.
Now coming out of the center of the sky, the shadowy green coloring is
separating, and Michael is coming forward. Oh! Michael has the balance in his
right hand, the golden balance, and in his left hand is a very long sword,
pointed, sharply pointed on the end. Michael is pointing the sword downwards.
Michael - "Hasten, harken, and
listen to the words of warning to a generation that has become perverse,
degraded - and abominations committed to offend your God. In justice and for
penance, there will be visited upon your earth great trials - droughts, famine,
rotting crops, hurricanes, floods, all manner of earth tremors and disturbances
of nature, increasing in volume, spreading throughout your world. There will be
eruptions and manifestations that shall bring terror to the hearts of many, in
places that have never seen nor heard of such volume of sound and fierce
eruptions of the earth.
"Be ye warned that houses will blow in the wind, and skin will dry up and
blow off the bones as if it had never been. Eyes will see and still not
believe, so hardened are the hearts of mankind.
"The warnings, the numerous warnings that have been given to mankind have
gone by unnoticed, and man continues upon his road to his own destruction. Sins
of the flesh have multiplied, and many souls are falling fast into the abyss,
their eternal reward being damnation in hell." (8-21-76)
How can we protect our homes, families and loved ones from an earthquake?
We will be spared of earthquakes if we keep crucifixes on all our outside
doors.
Jesus -
"Pray and wear your sacramentals. And, also, My children, I ask you again to
place a crucifix upon your door. Both front and back doors must have a crucifix.
I say this to you because there will be carnage within your areas, and this will
pass you by if you keep your crucifix upon your doors." (6-30-84)
Homes that have crucifixes on all the outside doors have been saved from fire, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, storms, riots, etc.
The Blood of the Lamb...
"For the Lord will pass through striking the Egyptians: and when he
shall see the blood on the transom, and on both the posts, he will pass over the
door of the house, and not suffer the destroyer to come into your houses and to
hurt you." (Exodus 12:23)
Crucifix on front and back door...
Jesus - "Pray and wear your sacramentals. And, also,
My children, I ask you again to place a crucifix upon your door. Both front and
back doors must have a crucifix. I say this to you because there will be carnage
within your areas, and this will pass you by if you keep your crucifix upon your

Jesus - "All who place the crucifix upon their front doors shall be saved like the passing of the lamb." (6-18-84)
Angel of Death will pass by...
Jesus - "Yes, My child, in the great Chastisement a ball
of fire shall fall into the waters killing all that is living in the seas. And,
also, unfortunately, because they could not listen and change their ways, many
will die also from the flames and also from the waters. Those living along the
coastlines, We caution them to keep a sacramental and a crucifix upon their
doors, for the angel of death shall not enter your home." (7-1-85)
Crucifix has Great Power...
Jesus - "We demand a crucifix, because demons - many of
the highest ones in the realms of hell cannot stand the sight of a crucifix.
They will not approach your door. I give you this knowledge, My children,
though it is not common knowledge, My children, though it is not common
knowledge upon earth, that the crucifix has great power against satan."

Homes saved form Hurricane Gloria...
Jesus - "My child, We specifically brought you here
this evening after the last trial of the past week. This was allowed to come
upon you with no destruction to your home. However, you knew the fear of
fleeing to the mountains. We directed you, My child, and you did well. And you
escaped having to suffer the hours of darkness, and the sound of the howling of
the winds, and the rise of the waters. But, My child and My children, it will
happen again, but this time it will claim lives.
"Do not be affrighted, My child; I did not say that this will happen to your
home on Long Island again. You suffered not the moments of terror. We did not
wish for you to succumb from sorrow at that time, My child, so We sent you to
the mountains; and you returned once the winds had died down to find a home
still intact.
"I must reveal, My children, to the world again, that you are to keep a
crucifix on your front door and your back door. All entrances to your home must
be guarded by the crucifix. There has not been one home on Long Island that had
a crucifix on its door that did fall to any evil. I do not speak of the trees,
My child; I speak of mankind. You did not know a major disaster as has
happened, My children, in Mexico. You see, My child, I set you down in that
area to bring the word to mankind, and it was through these words that many
listened and the passed through the horrible experience of a hurricane."

Many people have had their homes protected from disaster by having a crucifix on the outside of their outside doors.
Dear Bayside Shrine Workers,
A tornado passed through our town of Westlake, Louisiana early in the
morning of January 13, 1995. No damage came to our house, but two trees fell
down in my mother’s front yard. The electric light utility pole on my mother’s
house broke during the storm, and a neighbor said he saw a big flash of fire
spread right across the utility pole on to the top of my mother’s roof, but no
damage came. The fire vanished almost immediately. My trailer was rocking with
the wind, so was my grandmother’s trailer house, too, but no damage to either
one of them. An electric fire also flashed over my grandmother’s trailer on the
roof, but no damage.
My mother, my grandmother, and my sister--we all have blessed wooden
crucifixes on the outside doors of our houses. We also have the blessed Rose
Petals, the holy statues of Our Lady, and the Green Scapulars in our homes. We
all give thanks to Our Lady of the Roses for sparing us any damages on our
homes. Also, our Bayside group gets out the Bayside directives and the messages
of Bayside in our area. We believe this work has spared our area from much
disaster in the past of floods, tornadoes and storms.

Crucifixes on door saves H & H Store...
On June 30, 1984, Jesus said: "And also, My children, I ask you
again to place a crucifix upon your door. Both front and back doors must have a
crucifix. I say this to you because there will be carnage within your areas,
and this will pass you by if you keep your crucifix upon your doors."
Let us now see the factual proof of Heaven’s protection, to those who follow
Our Lady’s counsel. At a "Stop ‘n’ Go" shop at the corner of Jackson St. and
Orange Ave. in Paramount, looters broke the windows and cleaned the store of
$20,000 to $40,000 in merchandise, including freezers. One clerk there
exclaimed, "Everything was taken!" Two weeks later it was just starting to
reopen again to customers.
Three blocks away, at the corner of Garfield Ave. and Alondra Blvd., was a
different story. "H & H Store," also in Paramount, suffered six broken windows,
not including the broken glass front door. Yet with this difference: Nothing
was taken. Owner Juliette Cota gratefully affirmed, "Nothing taken! Not even
a bar of soap!" A great mystery, considering several of the broken windows were
large enough for the looters to easily pass through. So what was the
difference? The owner had been warned by a local Bayside believer to put up a
crucifix on the front door, and she did. A believer herself, she is now also
telling others why her shop was spared. Her son, fearful of future riots, is
desirous to sell the shop and move. Juliette, the mother and owner, confidently
told us, "I am not afraid."
Dear Veronica,
I sent you a picture that I feel is a miracle of Our Lady of the Roses. We
have the picture, a beautiful statue of Our Lady of the Roses. On the outside,
outdoors it is. As you know, we in Oakland, California, had a terrible disaster
fire that destroyed 3,500 homes. I am enclosing this special statue picture. It
was not touched by the fire, which destroyed all the homes in the block. I
feel this is a precious moment and a photo of the power of the Virgin Mary of
the Roses. Now for our own home, three homes were destroyed by fire, all around
ours. Here is the whole thing. In your literature sent me, it was mentioned
to place a crucifix on your doors, which I did. The fire destroyed our roof and
some trees but our home was spared from destruction. I truly believe the
Blessed Mother protected our home because all homes around us, in back of ours
were completely destroyed. I thought this was noteworthy, and please thank the
Blessed Mother of the Roses in one of your visitations. I pass out all rosaries
and scapulars I get and I am dedicated to serve the Blessed Mother and Jesus as

A gentleman from New Orleans reported his home was spared, when all his neighbors lost the roofs of their houses in a hurricane. He had one shingle missing and he thought that was gone before the storm.
In the San Francisco earthquake, a lady was living on the second floor of an apartment building with crucifixes on the doors. After the earthquake, her apartment was on the first floor. The apartment below her lost everything. She didn’t even have one dish break. The great power of the crucifix! Can you afford not to have crucifixes on your doors?
To Our Lady of the Roses:
We live in Western Massachusetts where Hurricane "Bob" came through. We had
crosses on our outside doors. No damage was done to our home or property.
On both sides of us people had trees down. Trees were broken in half etc.
One tree fell in the middle of the street and shook our house but that was all.
Trees and lines were down in the whole neighborhood. We had no electricity for
eight hours.
During that time, it brought home to us the messages Our Lady talks about
where there would be no utilities. Tell everyone they need their crosses on the
outside of all their outside doors.
