Justice For All Productions has announced that their latest film, An Affirmative Act, will be heading to select theatres nationwide on April 1, 2011. The film opens in New York City (AMC Loews Village 7), Los Angeles (AMC Broadway in Santa Monica), Boston (AMC Liberty Tree Mall), Chicago (Kerasotes ShowPlace ICON) & Seacaucus, NJ (Kerasotes ShowPlace 14) on April 1st, with an April 15th release in San Francisco (Four Star Theater) & Palm Springs (Cinemas Palme d’Or). The film is distributed in North America and Great Britain by Take 2 Releasing (an affiliate of Palisades Tartan Films), with foreign distribution handled by Multivisionnaire Pictures.

The star-filled feature is the first-ever courtroom drama about the legalization of Gay marriage. Cast in the film are Charles Durning (2-time Academy Award/4-time Golden Globe/9-time Emmy Award winner & nominee); Costas Mandylor (Saw 6, Saw 5, Beowulf, The Pledge); Eric Etebari (“Witchblade,” The Lincoln Lawyer); Blanche Baker (Sixteen Candles, Emmy Award winner); Thomas G. An Affirmative Act, written & produced by Kenneth Del Vecchio, is the story of a lesbian couple charged with fraud for marrying under the false pretenses of being a heterosexual couple. They did so in order to adopt their child & to obtain equal benefits & rights. Defended by a charismatic heterosexual attorney & opposed by a governor seeking to protect his anti-gay marriage bill, a massive media-covered courtroom battle ensues.
