Pope Benedict Calls for an End to Syria’s 'Endless Slaughter'...

"Syria has the key to the solution of world peace or the Third World War." - Our Lady of the Roses, May 30, 1981

"Many countries shall be embroiled in wars, until we have the greatest war ever seen, nor shall ever be seen again, the Third World War, which shall engulf the nations. Pope Benedict XVI is calling for an end to the "endless slaughter" of civilians in Syria.  In his annual state of the world address to global diplomats, the pontiff also condemned "terrorist attacks" against Christians in Nigeria and violence in Mali. 

In his annual address, Pope Benedict said his thoughts are “first and foremost” with Syria, where a civil war has raged for 21 months.

He says he is appealing for a cease-fire and for the start of constructive dialogue to bring the conflict to an end.

Diplomats from nearly 180 countries and organizations from around the world listened to the Pope’s address in the Vatican.  The pontiff pressed diplomats to alert their governments to the need for aid to cope with Syria’s humanitarian situation.

The United Nations estimates more than 60,000 people have been killed since the conflict began.

Pope Benedict also said he hoped for peaceful coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians, and for peace and religious reconciliation in Iraq and Lebanon.

Turning to sub-Saharan Africa, Pope Benedict highlighted the plight of Christians in Nigeria.

He says he was deeply saddened to learn that even in the days when Christians were celebrating Christmas, some were put to death.

On Christmas Eve, gunmen attacked a church in northeastern Yobe state, killing six people.  Yobe is next to Borno state, the home of Islamic radical sect Boko Haram, which has attacked churches at Christmas in recent years.

The pope also called for the international community to address the situation in Mali, where Islamist militants have seized control in the north of the country.

Rights groups say the militants have committed a range of abuses, including public executions and amputations, aimed at imposing a strict form of Islamic law.

The pontiff also said he hoped peace talks in the Central African Republic, where rebels have seized control of one-third of the country, will spare civilians from "reliving the throes of another civil war."

The Holy Douay-Rheims Bible...

        The Arab nations listed below have formed a covenant, and a plan to wipe Israel off the map so they are remembered no more.

"They (the Arab nations) have said: Come and let us destroy them (Israel), so that they be not a nation: and let the name of Israel be remembered no more.
     For they have contrived with one consent: they have made a covenant together against thee,
     The tabernacle of the Edomites (Palestinian Refugees and Southern Jordanians), and the Ishmahelites (Saudi Arabians): Moab(Palestinian Refugees and Central Jordanians), and the Agarens (Egyptians),
     Gebal (Northern Lebanese), and Ammon (Palestinian refugees and Northern Jordanians) and Amalec (Arabs South of Israel): the Philistines (Palestinian Refugees and Hamas of the Gaza Strip), with the inhabitants of Tyre (Hezbolla and Southern Lebanese).
     Yea, and the Assyrian (Syria and perhaps Northern Iraqis) also is joined with them: they are come to the aid of the sons of Lot (Moab and Ammon above)."  Psalms 82:5-9 DRB

“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” - Zechariah 12:3 DRB

“For these are the days of vengeance, that all things may be fulfilled, that are written. But woe to them that are with child, and give suck in those days; for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword; and shall be led away captives into all nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles; till the times of the nations be fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, by reason of the confusion of the roaring of the sea and of the waves; men withering away for fear, and expectation of what shall come upon the whole world.” – St. Luke 21:22-25 DRB

"The nobles thereof shall not be there: they shall call rather upon the king, and all the princes thereof shall be nothing." Isaias 34:12 DRB

The word, "they" refers to the princes of Edom, who are the Palestinians today. Therefore, all that Scripture requires is that a Palestinian State be "proclaimed" by her leaders. This new Palestinian state does not have to actually take shape and begin functioning before the state and its leaders "the princes thereof shall be nothing", i.e., shall vanish away.

"And I lifted up my eyes, and saw: and behold four horns. And I said to the angel that spoke in me: What are these? And he said to me: These are the horns that have scattered Juda, and Israel, and Jerusalem." Zacharias 1:18-19 DRB

In a groundbreaking discovery demonstrates that the "four horns" are the Quartet of Nations -- United States, Great Britain, the European Union, and Russia. And, what is their stated aim, stated from the beginning of their existence? To divide Israel and to scatter Judah, Israel and Jerusalem! I consider this prophetic understanding to be vital in our understanding of events as they are unfolding in front of our eyes, in the Daily News.

The city of Damascus in Syria will be totally destroyed in the future. "The burden of Damascus. Behold Damascus shall cease to be a city, and shall be as a ruinous heap of stones." Isaiah, 17:1DRB Damascus, the capital of Syria, is one of the longest continually-inhabited cities on the planet, but that could change any day now. As you can see from the Scripture above, Damascus is going to be destroyed in the near future.  Already the Syrian treasurers and artifacts located in Damascus are already being moved to other parts of Syria.  With this weapons deals between Russia and Syria could hasten the destruction of Damascus.

AN  ARABIAN  SABER 
Veronica - And I can see now Jesus and Our Lady are going high up into the sky, and there's forming directly over Our Lady's statue, high in the sky—it is a cross, a very large cross. The handle, though, of a . . . dagger—it looks like a dagger, a knife. It's a strange-looking dagger with a loop at the bottom, like. It's a symbol. And Jesus is nodding.
Jesus - "You will understand, My child, soon."
Veronica - Yes, it is a, like a saber. Gee, it, it's a very strange-looking, dagger-like saber, with a cross on a handle. Like—it's not the kind that you see—it looks almost like Arabian or something. I can't explain it—like a very strange-looking Arabic, or something. I don't know where I have seen that before, but it's a very odd-looking type of dagger-like sword, with a hook on the end of it, though. That's strange. Oh, now it's beginning to fade; I can't see it anymore. - December 24, 1979
