Hurricane Jeanne is the fourth hurricane to hit the United States in six weeks.
Is the hand of God is upon us?
"Great elemental tragedies, disasters, manmade and God - sent upon mankind, shall increase in volume, shall increase in intensity and numbers." Jesus -(5-26-79)
People lined up for more than a half-mile for food and water, while others searched in vain for generators in the sweltering heat Monday as Florida residents began cleaning up all over again, demoralized by the fourth hurricane in six weeks to batter the state.
Hurricane Jeanne, with slashing winds reaching 120 mph, claimed at least six lives in Florida over the weekend as it plowed through virtually the same area that was bashed by Hurricane Frances earlier this month. Together, Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne have generated the biggest relief effort ever undertaken by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
"I've stopped trying to assess which storm is worse than the other," said Gov. Jeb Bush. "They are all powerful, they all wreaked havoc in our state and they all stink. They are all past the threshold of bad." Florida is the first state to get pounded by four hurricanes in one season since Texas in 1886. Two months remain in the 2004 hurricane season.
At the only Home Depot in this coastal town, 75 people broiled under a cloudless sky in temperatures that approached 90 as they waited for tarps, gas cans and other supplies to begin repairs. In a separate line, 25 people waited for generators. "My wife kicked me out until I came back with a generator," said Wayne Keller, who had a generator for Frances, but sold it once power was restored. "She wants to kill me. She's not in a laughing mood." The store did not have any. Keller had been waiting four hours on the promise that a shipment of 300 was on the way. The store itself was in need of repairs, had no air conditioning and was running on generator power. Only five people were allowed in at a time, and buckets placed throughout caught water as it dripped from the ceiling.
In Fort Pierce's historic downtown area, power lines dangled and flooded roads were closed. Greg and Cindy Rosslow checked on the women's clothing store that has been in his family for two generations. The store lost its roof during Frances and still had not reopened. Jeanne smashed the front window. "You get a little disheartened," Greg Rosslow said.
President Bush on Monday asked Congress for more than $7.1 billion to help Florida and other Southeastern states recover. The unprecedented relief effort includes more than 5,000 FEMA workers spread over 15 states. Nearly 3,800 National Guardsmen were providing security, directing traffic, distributing supplies and keeping gas lines orderly.
In Florida alone, relief workers have handed out at least 16 million meals, 9 million gallons of water and nearly 59 million pounds of ice over the course of the four storms, state officials said. But for some, it was not being distributed fast enough. "This is just too much. This is just unbelievable," said Gladys Caldwell, who knew just how long she had waited for water and ice at a Fort Pierce distribution station - "two hours and 18 minutes."
Bob Gilmore, a mechanical engineer, stacked aluminum siding in front of his home and tried to figure out how to get water out of the ceiling. His screen porch disappeared. "The house stinks right now. It's going to be a miserable time," he said.
Jeanne also inflicted more damage on two industries hugely important to Florida: citrus and tourism. Florida citrus growers lost about half of their grapefruit crop during Frances. And with the ground soaked from previous storms, trees toppled more easily this time. Fruit was scattered throughout groves. "It's a new layer of fruit on the ground. It couldn't be any worse," said grower Cody Estes. Orlando's theme parks closed for the third time this season during Jeanne, and many hotels along the Atlantic coast were heavily damaged.
Earlier, Jeanne caused flooding in Haiti that killed more than 1,500 people. The storm weakened after plowing across Florida, but brought heavy rain and fierce wind to the already-soggy South. In Georgia, the storm's remnants toppled trees, washed out dozens of roads and left more than 76,000 residents without power at its height. A handful of coffins also were washed up in Folkston, when flooding hit a cemetery there. Tornadoes spawned by the storm also destroyed buildings in South Carolina, and in North Carolina, a windstorm in Southern Pines damaged more than 100 buildings and reportedly flipped cars and toppled trees and power lines, according to the Moore County Sheriff's Department.
Flooding remained a concern along the Peace River in in west-central Florida. Officials ordered evacuations for about 400 families in low-lying areas near the river. Many of the families had not yet returned to their homes because of damage from Charley and Frances. At 5 p.m. EDT, Jeanne was a tropical depression centered north of Macon, Ga. It was heading north at 13 mph and was expected to move over the Carolinas.
Insured losses from Jeanne were estimated at $5 billion to $9 billion, insurance experts said. About 2.3 million people in Florida had no electricity because of Jeanne. Nearly 47,000 people in the Panhandle were still without power in the area hit by Ivan.
Charley hammered Florida's southwest coast Aug. 13; Frances blanketed much of the peninsula as it crawled through Labor Day weekend; and Ivan blasted the Panhandle when it hit Sept. 16. The three storms caused billions of dollars in damage and killed 73 people in Florida alone.

Storms, rotting crops and famine . . .
Our Lady - "Storms shall ravage the shores; crops

Murders. Who shall govern your fine country, My children, in the future, as the
pollution is bending the stalks. Repent now of your sin, for the hand of just

Your Country shall be caught up in a whirlwind!

gone by unnoticed, and man continues upon his road to his own destruction.

Warnings gone by unnoticed . . .
Our Lady - "My child, many exhortations and warnings
have been given to mankind. You must go forward and refresh their memories.
Many have forgotten the warnings from Heaven, for they go about saying, 'Where
is the promise of His coming, and where are the warnings that you speak of and
write of?"
"O My children, you are truly blind! These warnings have been given for
time, and an extension of time to mankind before the major catastrophe shall be
sent upon you, the baptism of fire. You have received these warnings that have
gone by unnoticed: floods, hurricanes, fires, disasters, accidents that are not
accidents, earthquakes in places that have never experienced such terror
before. How many warnings must the Eternal Father send upon mankind before they
will awaken and do penance?
"Prayer, atonement, and sacrifice, My children - is this too much to ask of

Tragedies and disasters shall increase . . .

The Father plans a gradual cleansing of earth . . .
Our Lady - "Intellectual pride, My children, has been
the downfall of many. You will not enter the Kingdom unless you strip
yourselves of this pride and return to Us as little children.
"Sin and abominations have been accepted in your country and in the world as
a way of life. Whatever shall We do with the souls who are coming fast over the
veil unprepared? Whatever shall the Father do with them?"
"When the Chastisement is given to man, it will not annihilate the world as
in the time of the floods, My children. No, the Father plans a gradual
cleansing of earth. With the return of My Son, there will remain only the

Crucifix has Great Power...
Jesus - "We demand a crucifix, because demons - many of
the highest ones in the realms of hell cannot stand the sight of a crucifix.
They will not approach your door. I give you this knowledge, My children,
though it is not common knowledge, My children, though it is not common
knowledge upon earth, that the crucifix has great power against satan."

a crucifix on its door that did fall to any evil. I do not speak of the trees,
My child; I speak of mankind. You did not know a major disaster as has
happened, My children, in Mexico. You see, My child, I set you down in that
area to bring the word to mankind, and it was through these words that many
listened and the passed through the horrible experience of a hurricane."
