The 2003 chartered bus trips to Our Lady of the Roses Shrine are as follows:

33nd Anniversary of Our Lady’s Apparitions at Bayside

The bus will leave Grand Rapids at 4:00 p.m. the day before the vigil. We will be in Lansing about 5:15 p.m. and Detroit at 7:30 p.m. Those who board the bus in Detroit or Ohio should have already eaten their supper. We suggest you take a pillow and a blanket because we will spend the night on the bus. Stops will be made along the way for meals and rest areas.

The next morning, the day of the vigil, we will be attending Mass at Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. After Mass and breakfast we will continue on to New York. We should be at the motel about noon the day of the vigil. At that time, everyone can rest and relax in the motel until 5:00 p.m. when we will leave for the Bayside vigil grounds. The prayer vigil ends about l0:30 p.m. and we will then return to the motel. After all Saturday night vigils, there is a Holy Hour for the clergy Sunday mornings at l0:30am at the vigil site. After Mass and breakfast, we will attend this Holy Hour and then start our journey home.

All ladies are requested to wear blue berets or scarves at the vigil. Our Lord said on February 28, 1971, "Women will not dress as men." In honoring Our Lord’s request, no slacks or shorts are allowed on the bus or on the sacred grounds. The spirit of the pilgrimage is one of prayer, sacrifice, and atonement. Some people in the past have fasted part of the trip for their sins and the sins of the world.

Our Lady stressed that anyone traveling to the prayer vigils from any part of the world, would have special protection from Heaven and not to worry about their safety. The need for prayer and penance is so great that Heaven will not allow anything to prevent you from visiting Our Lady’s sacred grounds.

The following are suggestions to take on the trip:

1. A pillow and a blanket.
2. Cooler or thermos with hot or cold drinks.
3. Food, snacks, or fruit.
4. Raincoat or an umbrella in case there is rain at the vigil grounds.
5. Folding chair to sit on during the vigil.
6. Religious articles such as pictures, statues, rosaries, or medals to be blessed by Jesus & Mary.
7. Polaroid cameras if you want to take miraculous pictures.
8. Rose petals to be blessed.
9. Please have name and address on all baggage to prevent loss.

To heal and convert...
Veronica asked Our Lady, for all present and those who sent their petitions to the Shrine, whether these could be granted. Our Lady said: "Many will be granted their supplications, but many will also have to bear their crosses of illness in order to purify their souls to enter the Kingdom. They will eliminate their stay in Purgatory by cleansing their souls as victim souls upon earth and suffering for the weak!" ...August 21, 1971
This cure, if not given physically, I assure you, My children, will be given to you spiritually!"...December 30, 1972

To bestow graces...
Our Lady placed Her hand out and said pleadingly: "Please, My children, gather about Me now. Let Me bestow upon you all graces necessary in the trying days ahead. I want you all to carry forth My plan for your salvation: a string of Rosaries, from one end of your country to the other. You will all, in these trials, win your crowns!"...April 10, 1973

To protect...
"I am the Queen of the Universe, the Mediatrix of all graces, but first and above all I am your Mother! I have come to warn you, to protect you, for many will be lost to Us. You all, in the final decision, will have made your own choice. I bless you all My children, with a shower of graces from Heaven. Come to Me at this hallowed place. Be with Me in spirit. Save America the Rosary way. A constant vigil of prayer!"...September 7, 1971

Miracles more abundant than ever...
