Catholic doctors confirm Pope's statement: Statistics prove condoms ineffective against HIV...

The encyclical of Pope Paul VI on birth control is true and must be followed by mankind. There shall be no rationalization of sin.” Our Lady of the Roses, October 2, 1976

LifeSiteNews.com reported on May 12, 2009:

A group of Catholic medical professionals based in the Philippines has stated that condom promotion has failed to curb the spread of AIDS.  The group said that it agreed with a widely-criticized recent statement by Pope Benedict XVI in which he endorsed a renewed respect for sexuality in facing the AIDS epidemic, rather than condom use.

"Condoms are highly dangerous," said Yolly Eileen Gamutam, head of Asia's Catholic Association of Doctors, Nurses and Health Professionals (ACIM-Asia), in an article on the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines website.

"If we are promoting truthful public information then tell the people that using condoms is dangerous."

Gamutam referenced the HIV crisis in Thailand, where widespread promotion and use of condoms has failed to curb the rise of HIV.

By the end of 2003, Thailand, with a population of 63 million, registered 570,000 HIV-positive adults and children.  Gamutam compared the statistic to the Philippines, where only 9,000 Filipinos were HIV-positive out of a population of 80 million.  500 died of AIDS in the Philippines that year, while 58,000 perished in Thailand.

The data, said Gamutam, showed that "the condom use program in Thailand is not effective."

"Even if all brothels were required to have supplies of condoms, and if they were available in all supermarkets, bars, restaurants, and other public gathering places still it would not deter the widespread of HIV/AIDS," she said.

She agreed with Pope Benedict XVI that abstinence and conjugal fidelity are the best way to combat the disease.

In past years the Philippines had earned dire forecasts from family planning groups, who said the nation was "courting an AIDS epidemic" for sustaining a policy against condoms.  Despite protests from Roman Catholic leaders, and a continuing low rate of HIV, the Philippines government began promoting condoms in 2008.

ACIM-Asia criticized the lobby group, Philippine Legislators Committee on Population and Development (PLCPD), which it calls "vehemently opposed to the Catholic Church and the pro-life cause," for pushing the Philippine government to further fund contraception.  The lobby is financially supported by members of the European Parliament.

199 members of the European Parliament last week had voted in favor of a resolution - voted down by 253 others - to condemn Pope Benedict XVI's answer to a question regarding the AIDS problem.  The pontiff in March said that the solution to the AIDS crisis mainly required "a humanization of sexuality" and renewed care for the suffering.

"If the soul is lacking, if Africans do not help one another, the scourge cannot be resolved by distributing condoms; quite the contrary, we risk worsening the problem," he said.

Although Benedict's statement continues to draw fury from liberal groups around the world, some AIDS experts, including the head of the AIDS Prevention Research Project at Harvard University, admit that evidence supports the pope's position.

"The pope is correct, or put it a better way, the best evidence we have supports the pope's comments," Harvard's Dr. Edward Green told National Review Online in March. (http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009/mar/09031906.html)

Pope says condoms not solution to AIDS...

The encyclical of Pope Paul VI on birth control is true and must be followed by mankind. There shall be no rationalization of sin.” Our Lady of the Roses, October 2, 1976

LifeSiteNews.com reported on March 17, 2009:

While embarking on his first trip to Africa as pope today, Benedict XVI said that condoms are not the solution to the problem of AIDS in Africa and, in fact, they create more problems.

AIDS "is a tragedy that cannot be overcome by money alone, that cannot be overcome through the distribution of condoms, which even aggravates the problems," the pontiff said to reporters aboard the papal plane.

Reiterating the Catholic Church's stand against the predominating worldview that the AIDS epidemic can be assuaged by inundating developing countries with condoms, Pope Benedict said the solution lies in a "spiritual and human awakening" and "friendship for those who suffer."

He said the "traditional teaching of the Church" on chastity outside marriage and fidelity within it had proved to be "the only sure way of preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS." He added that while "we must suffer with those who suffer" and give greater support to those who are sick with the disease, combating AIDS in Africa depends on promoting "correct and moral behavior."

Pope Benedict, who will visit Cameroon and Angola during the weeklong trip, said during his Sunday Angelus blessing that he wanted to wrap his arms around the entire continent, with "its painful wounds, its enormous potential and hopes." He said that 2009 would be the "Year of Africa," and will include a conference of African bishops in Rome in September and an African synod at the Vatican in October, in addition to his March 17-23 pastoral visit to the continent.

The Cameroon capital of Yaounde is the first stop on his visit, where the Holy Father will meet with the representatives of 52 African states in preparation for the October synod as well as meeting with representatives of the Muslim community and associations serving the handicapped.

The Pope will say an open-air Mass on Friday before traveling to Angola where he will meet with diplomats in Luanda to promote greater international support for Africa.

Pope Benedict will close his African pastoral visit with an open-air Mass in Luanda on Sunday, which will also celebrate the 500 years of Christian evangelization in the country.

Kenyan first lady said "the condom … is causing the spread of AIDS in this country"

Condom battle of the First Ladies - Laura Bush vs Uganda's Janet Museveni...

LifeSiteNews reported on December 14, 2007:

In what came as a shock to some, US First Lady Laura Bush promoted condom use "every time" in the pages of the Washington Post on December 1st.  Writing on World AIDS Day Bush urged: "Practice safe sex," and advocated the "correct and consistent use of condoms" which she said, "means not just occasionally, but every time."

Of note, Mrs. Bush suggested her approach was following the example of "our African counterparts".  She wrote: "Let's take a cue from our African counterparts and follow the ABC method of prevention: Abstinence, Be Faithful, and the Correct and Consistent Use of Condoms."

The ABC method gained fame first and foremost in Uganda where the advance of AIDS was stopped in its tracks with a focus on abstinence and fidelity, with condoms as a very distant last resort - but more on that later.

So, Mrs. Bush's exact African counterpart would be in this instance Ugandan First Lady Janet Museveni.   And that is where this story becomes really interesting.

Rather than taking a cue from her African counterpart as Mrs. Bush suggests in her Washington Post piece, the US First Lady has, by advocating condom use, taken the exact opposite stance to Mrs. Museveni.

In her message for World AIDS Day last year, the Ugandan First Lady also spoke of condom use, but from a completely different perspective.  "I would not be caught advising you to take any shortcuts or compromise your lives by using any device invented by man, such as condoms, in order to facilitate any desire to go against God's clear plan for your life," Mrs. Museveni told students at the Uganda Christian University, Mukono.   "God's plan for your life is that you should honour your body because it is His temple."

Warning the young people that they should not be complacent as HIV infection rates rise, Mrs. Museveni asked them to encourage other students to abstain from premarital sex.

This stance of the Ugandan First Lady is not new, it was the approach which led to Uganda's world-renowned success in fighting AIDS.  In 2004 Mrs. Museveni spoke to over 2000 youth at a conference in the national capital of Kampala telling teens to ignore those who push condoms noting that companies which promote such products are after money. "Don't give your airtime to anyone talking to you about using condoms," Ms Museveni said. Adding she could "not be apologetic" for objecting to them. Rather she encouraged the young people to practice "God-centered" self-control.

Now which First Lady's advice is best to be taken when dealing with AIDS?

Well let's see - in Uganda with the ABC program where condoms are a very last resort, the campaign has been so successful as to be likened to a highly effective vaccine.  It has reduced HIV transmission rates from 18% to 6%.

The US as well as other Western nations have been pushing condoms on Africa as a supposed means of controlling the spread of AIDS.  This despite the fact that a meta analysis on "Condom Promotion for AIDS Prevention in the Developing World: Is It Working?" published in the medical journal 'Studies in Family Planning' in March of 2004, found that "In many sub-Saharan African countries, high HIV transmission rates have continued despite high rates of condom use." The study noted further that, "No clear examples have emerged yet of a country that has turned back a generalized epidemic primarily by means of condom distribution."

AIDS activists in Africa are furious with the West and its push for condoms and permissive sex education for youth.  With a 2003 UNAIDS report showing that condoms are ineffective in protecting against HIV an estimated 10% of the time, can anyone be surprised that Africans are upset with the West proposing a bio-hazard Russian roulette for their children?

Writing in the same paper Mrs. Bush chose for her condom push, Edward Green, a medical anthropologist with 25 years of experience in Africa, and a senior researcher at the Harvard School of Public Health, whp noted the failure of condoms to affect HIV rates.  In an article published November 29, 2003 in the Washington Post, co-authored by Tanzanian Professor Wilfred May, Green wrote "The African countries with the highest levels of condom availability -- Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa and Kenya -- also have some of the highest HIV rates in the world."

With those facts, it is no wonder that another African First Lady - Kenya's Lucy Kibaki has joined Uganda's First Lady in calling for abstinence and fidelity as the only ways to bring AIDS under control. Speaking to school girls last year, Mrs. Kibaki said that sexual abstinence before marriage, not condoms, was essential to preserving their lives and futures. "Fellow citizens, this gadget called the condom … is causing the spread of AIDS in this country", she said.

Let's hope Mrs. Bush takes some of her own advice and takes a cue from her African counterparts.

Pope John Paul II reaffirms no condom stand after Spain debacle...

My Way News reported on January 22, 2005:

Pope John Paul on Saturday stressed that the Roman Catholic Church believed abstinence and fidelity within marriage, and not condoms, were the best way to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS.

The Pope's words, spoken to a new ambassador to the Vatican, took on an added significance being his first direct comment on the controversial topic since a Catholic official in Spain this week appeared to question the Church's stand against condoms.

"The Holy See ... believes prevention through education about the sacredness of life and the correct practice of sexuality, that is chastity and faithfulness, is necessary above all other things in order to prevent this disease responsibly," the 84-year old Pontiff said in a written address....

It says promoting the use of condoms to fight the spread of AIDS fosters what it sees as immoral and hedonistic lifestyles and behavior that will only contribute to its spread.

The condom debate made the front pages of newspapers around the world this week after Father Juan Antonio Martinez Camino, secretary-general of the Spanish bishops conference, said they could have "a place in the global approach to tackling AIDS."

The next day, the conference effectively retracted his statement saying there had not been any change in the Church's position on the use of condoms.

"At my request, the church has mobilized in favor of the victims and especially in order to assure access to help and the necessary medical care through a number of treatment centers," the Polish Pope said, referring to a Vatican foundation.

The Good Samaritan foundation was founded last year to coordinate funds from charities and organizations helping AIDS victims, particularly in Africa.

The Pope made his comments on AIDS in a welcome address to the new Netherlands ambassador, Monique Frank.

He took the opportunity also to reiterate the Vatican's condemnation of the Netherlands' legalisation of euthanasia.

"The Holy See has made known its clear position and invites Catholics in the Netherlands always to show their absolute respect for human life, from conception to natural death."

Vatican: The Church has always taught the intrinsic evil of contraception”

"The Church has always taught the intrinsic evil of contraception, that is, of every marital act intentionally rendered unfruitful. This teaching is to be held as definitive and irreformable."

- "Vademecum for Confessors: Concerning Some Aspects of the Morality of Conjugal Life," #4, Vatican Pontifical Council for the Family, March 1, 1997.

"From the ethical standpoint the same absolute unlawfulness of abortifacient procedures also applies to distributing, prescribing and taking the morning-after pill. All who, whether sharing the intention or not, directly co-operate with this procedure, are also morally responsible for it."

- “Statement on the So-Called Morning After Pill,” Vatican Pontifical Council for Life, October 31, 2000.

"It is not possible to anesthetize the conscience, for example, when it comes to molecules whose aim is to stop an embryo implanting or to cut short someone's life... I invite your federation [of pharmacists] to consider conscientious objection which is a right that must be recognized for your profession so you can avoid collaborating, directly or indirectly, in the supply of products which have clearly immoral aims, for example abortion or euthanasia..."

- Pope Benedict XVI, address to Catholic Pharmacists, October 29, 2007

On June 5, 1987, Pope John Paul II warned clergy and theologians of their grave obligation to faithfully transmit the Church’s teaching on contraception:  “A grave responsibility derives from this: those who place themselves in open conflict with the law of God, authentically taught by the Church, guide spouses along a false path. The Church’s teaching on contraception does not belong to the category of matter open to free discussion among theologians. Teaching the contrary amounts to leading the moral consciences of spouses into error.”

- "The Church's teaching on contraception is not a matter for free discussion among theologians," L'Osservatore Romano, July 6, 1987, p. 12.

On September 17, 1983, Pope John Paul II told priests in Rome that “contraception is to be judged objectively so profoundly unlawful as never to be, for any reason, justified. To think or to say the contrary is equal to maintaining that, in human life, situations may arise in which it is lawful not to recognize God as God.”

- quotation from “The Papal Talk of 17 Sept.,” The [Hartford] Catholic Transcript, David Q. Liptak, January 20, 1984.

"In fact, just as man does not have unlimited dominion over his body in general, so also, with particular reason, he has no such dominion over his generative faculties as such, because of their intrinsic ordination towards raising up life, of which God is the principle. 'Human life is sacred,' Pope John XXIII recalled; 'from its very inception it reveals the creating hand of God.'
"In conformity with these landmarks in the human and Christian vision of marriage, we must once again declare that the direct interruption of the generative process already begun, and, above all, directly willed and procured abortion, even if for therapeutic reasons, are to be absolutely excluded as licit means of regulating birth.
"Equally to be excluded, as the teaching authority of the Church has frequently declared, is direct sterilization, whether perpetual or temporary, whether of the man or of the woman. Similarly excluded is every action which, either in anticipation of the conjugal act, or in its accomplishment, or in the development of its natural consequences, proposes, whether as an end or as a means, to render procreation impossible."

- Pope Paul VI, encyclical Humanae Vitae, July 25, 1968 (#13-14).

Asked what he would do if pushed on the issue by the state, Bishop Sheridan indicated that he would likely rather have the Church pull out of hospitals than compromise the faith.  "If I personally were being pushed on this and had to make the decision by myself, I'd have to question whether or not we could continue that particular ministry if the state were going to force us to act contrary to Catholic teaching, to the Catholic conscience," he told LifeSiteNews.com.

Bishop Sheridan concluded, "How could you continue to call yourself Catholic if you were doing things that were contrary to Catholic teaching even if you were being forced by the state to do them?"

- “Colorado Springs Bishop Says He Does Not and Would Not Permit Plan B in Catholic Hospitals”, LifeSiteNews.com, October 10, 2007.

The truth is that there is absolutely no doubt about how the Plan B pills work. Just ask the manufacturer, Barr Pharmaceuticals, whose product insert states: "This product works mainly by preventing ovulation (egg release). It may also prevent fertilization of a released egg (joining of sperm and egg) or attachment of a fertilized egg to the uterus (implantation)." (My italics.) It's that third item that makes Plan B an abortion-causing drug. The same can be said for every chemical contraceptive.

- Human Life International President: "Plan A: Keep 'Plan B' out of Catholic hospitals", LifeSiteNews.com,
October 5, 2007.

“The Vatican did not need to invent any new teaching on the Plan B pills because these pills fall into the category of abortifacient contraception, pure and simple. The consistent teaching of our Church on abortion applies here.”

- Fr. Thomas J. Euteneuer, quotation from “A ‘seriously flawed’ decision in Connecticut,” The [Los Angeles] Tidings, October 19, 2007.

"Abortion and euthanasia are thus crimes which no human law can claim to legitimize. There is no obligation in conscience to obey such laws; instead there is a grave and clear obligation to oppose them by conscientious objection."

- Pope John Paul II, encyclical The Gospel of Life, #73, March 25, 1995.

"The [abortion] excommunication affects all those who commit this crime with knowledge of the penalty attached, and thus includes those accomplices without which the crime would not have been committed."

- Pope John Paul II, encyclical The Gospel of Life, #62, March 25, 1995.

The awesome Bayside Prophecies...  https://www.tldm.org/Bayside/default.htm
These prophecies came from Jesus, Mary, and the saints to Veronica Lueken at Bayside, NY, from 1968 to 1995:

SIXTY MILLION
"I say this for this reason: the Eternal Father is much disturbed at the numbers of abortions being committed throughout your country and the world. These numbers go upwards to fifty to sixty million in one year throughout the world." - Our Lady,
June 18, 1986

TREATED AS GARBAGE
"O My child, My tears fall upon you all when I see all of the innocent little babies being slaughtered . . . cast into garbage pails like nothing but dirt and scum. They are living human beings! And all murderers shall get their just recompense." - Our Lady,
March 18, 1983

DOCTORS
"Doctors now are profaning their profession, those who have given themselves over to destroying human life in abortions." - Jesus,
June 6, 1987

FOULEST OF DEEDS
"Our hearts are torn because of the wanton murder of the young by evil man. Abortion, My children, is murder, the most foulest of deeds, that is punishable by death! And what is worse than death of the soul?
"I say unto you, as your Mother, that any man or woman who performs or takes part of this abomination of the murder of the unborn shall be given a heavy penance upon earth, or if this penance is not given upon earth, that person found guilty in the eyes of his God shall suffer eternal damnation in the fires of hell." - Our Lady,
December 28, 1976

TORMENT
"The torment that will be visited upon those who murder the innocent shall be eternal damnation and feasting their eyes upon the murdered souls." - Our Lady, May 10, 1972

SAINTS CRY OUT FOR PUNISHMENT
"Oh, the greatest of sorrow is upon Our hearts because of the loss of the little ones. Your country, My child, and many countries throughout your world, shall do great penance for the murders of the young, the abortions, the murders being committed in your country. The saints in Heaven cry out for punishment upon a wicked generation. Never in the past, in all the slaughters of history, has there been such wanton killing of the young and the innocent! I say unto you, as your God, you shall be brought down to your knees! You, evil mankind, you shall be cleansed in a bloodbath!” - Jesus, February 1, 1977

Crucifix on front and back door...  The only real protection against terrorists...
Jesus - "Pray and wear your sacramentals. And, also, My children, I ask you again to place a crucifix upon your door. Both front and back doors must have a crucifix. I say this to you because there will be carnage within your areas, and this will pass you by if you keep your crucifix upon your doors." (6-30-84) (Testimonies of lives and homes saved by the crucifixes.)  https://www.tldm.org/news/crucifix.htm

Heaven’s Home Protection Packet...
Our Lord stated we must have crucifixes upon the outside of all of our outside doors. In the "Heaven’s Home Protection Packet" there are instructions, four crucifixes, and a tube of special cement for wooden or metal crucifixes. Wooden crucifixes adhere better to the doors when the aluminum strap is removed from the back. Put a light coat of cement on the back of the crucifix and then press it to the outside of the door. If you have any problems, you can call us at 616-698-6448 for assistance. This Heaven’s Home Protection Packet is available for a donation of $5.00 plus $3.00 shipping and handling. Send $8.00 to TLD Ministries, P.O. Box 40, Lowell, MI 49331. Item # P15  (Order Form)

Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers promises to help protect our children. On September 13, 1977, She said, "He has an army of ogres wandering now throughout your country and all of the countries of the world. They are in possession of great power; so wear your sacramentals, and protect your children and your households. Learn the use every day of holy water throughout your household. Insist even with obstructions, insist that your children always wear a sacramental. One day they will understand that they will repel the demons."
On February 1, 1974, Our Lady said, "My children, know the value of these sacramentals. Guard your children well. You must awaken to the knowledge that you will not be protected without the sacramentals. Guard your children's souls. They must be surrounded with an aura of purity. Remove them if necessary from the sources of contamination, be it your schools or even false pastors."
This Heaven’s Personal Protection Packet is available for a donation of $5.00 plus $3.00 shipping and handling. Send $8.00 to TLD Ministries, P.O. Box 40, Lowell, MI 49331. You may use your MasterCard, VISA, or American Express and call 1-616-698-6448.  Item # P5
