The blood on the streets is crying out to the American people. How far will the killings go? Will the bloodshed push Americans beyond the tipping point into open armed civil war? Over the past week and weekend, blood was shed in clashes between Antifa and BLM terrorists and citizens who have had enough of the looting, burning and destroying businesses in the nation’s cities, not to mention the lame or zero responses by Leftist, Democrat leaders in Democrat-controlled cities and states. Additionally, the Leftists that showed up in D.C. forming angry mobs and harassing the people who were leaving the White House after the final night of the Republican National Convention, shows so little class that whoever planned it must have no moral clarity or dignity.

Truly, the political atmosphere is so divided that it seems there is no turning back from the social gravity-pull heading toward armed conflict. The police shooting of the civilian Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, which sparked days of rioting, which mainstream media puppets portray as “peaceful” protests, have whipped up extremists from Antifa-styled anarchists and BLM terrorists, as well as local militia in opposition to the riots leaving two rioters dead, and young Kyle Rittenhouse, the shooter, facing first-degree murder charges. In Portland, over the weekend, Aaron Danielson, aka Jay Bishop, was shot dead by an Antifa member. Ted Wheeler, the lame Portland mayor, who refused to authorize federal assistance to put down the senseless violence, blamed President Trump for his city’s problems. He must have been tutored by former President Obama.

It is fairly unbelievable that the Democrat leaders who do not protect their own citizens, the ones who actually pay the city official’s salaries, are re-elected by citizens who have re-elected them continually. Gullible citizens continue to support the Democrat “leaders” because they believe their doublespeak, their ‘Newspeak”—or it is more in line with the “cultural fashion” or it is more politically correct to vote Democrat, without any brains put into the effort. Yet, the cities that are under the dominion of Democrat “leadership” have little excuse for the political and social cesspools they have created together. But, what of the people of common sense who have had enough? The rise of the resistance to the business as usual at the expense of the common citizen is rooted in the failure of the Democrat Party—and nothing else.

Common sense citizens responded in Portland because they had enough. The rally in support of President Trump in Portland over the weekend ended in tragedy because the rioters have been emboldened by the useful idiots who are in the control of the Portland government. They sense they can do no wrong—even killing a Trump supporter. Mayor Ted Wheeler had called for an end to the violence after an innocent man was severely beaten the previous week. The mayor may still think he is relevant as unrestrained and unrestricted violence dominates his city, This is what happens when the city “leaders” no longer take seriously the mandate to protect their citizens.

When city “leaders” no longer take seriously the mandate to protect their citizens, it is the serious citizens who will eventually take the law into their own hands, and people are left looking at video of skirmishes in the streets. Once it gets to this level, this low level, the structure of law reverts to those who have the weapons to protect or to violate the civil order. Mayors and city councils are then irrelevant because without a foundation of law enforcement, the law cannot be enforced, Americans can judge how effective Ted Wheeler of Portland was in controlling the violence in his city on his watch. In Kenosha, under the threat and the reality of continued lawlessness, some citizens decided to take matters of law enforcement into their own hands.

It seems on the surface of things, Kyle Rittenhouse was a person who was trying to serve the people of Kenosha by standing in the gap where law enforcement wasn’t present. If one looks at the video of that fateful evening, and as the New York Times video analysts have in their due diligence, one sees a horrible situation. It was a situation that Senator Rand Paul found himself in on the streets of Washington, D.C. last Thursday night. The D.C. police were present, and even that did not deter some of the rioters from attacking the police. The bold, brazen attacks will continue, even with a police presence, Without the police, one person left alone with a mob does not stand much of a chance for defense against bodily harm or their blood being spilled. Aaron Danielson, may he rest in peace, is the case in point.

On January 27, 1838, another young man of 28, who would eventually be shot dead as well, gave a speech to the Young Men’s Lyceum of Springfield, Illinois. He addressed such insane violence in his time. The title of the speech, appropriate to this time as well as his time, was: “The Perpetuation of Our Political Institutions,” the young man’s name was Abraham Lincoln. Although it was delivered 182 years ago, a portion of his speech is still quite relevant for us in this time:

At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of free men, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.

I hope I am over wary; but if I am not, there is, even now, something of ill-omen, amongst us. I mean the increasing disregard for law which pervades the country; the growing disposition to substitute the wild and furious passions, in lieu of the sober judgment of Courts; and the worse than savage mobs, for the executive ministers of justice. This disposition is awfully fearful in any community; and that it now exists in ours, though grating to our feelings to admit, it would be a violation of truth, and an insult to our intelligence, to deny. Accounts of outrages committed by mobs, form the every-day news of the times…

Such are the effects of mob law; and such as the scenes, becoming more and more frequent in this land so lately famed for love of law and order; and the stories of which, have even now grown too familiar, to attract anything more, than an idle remark…

And not only so; the innocent, those who have ever set their faces against violations of law in every shape, alike with the guilty, fall victims to the ravages of mob law; and thus it goes on, step by step, till all the walls erected for the defense of the persons and property of individuals, are trodden down, and disregarded. But all this even, is not the full extent of the evil.

By such examples, by instances of the perpetrators of such acts going unpunished, the lawless in spirit, are encouraged to become lawless in practice; and having been used to no restraint, but dread of punishment, they thus become, absolutely unrestrained.

Having ever regarded Government as their deadliest bane, they make a jubilee of the suspension of its operations; and pray for nothing so much, as its total annihilation. While, on the other hand, good men, men who love tranquility, who desire to abide by the laws, and enjoy their benefits, who would gladly spill their blood in the defense of their country; seeing their property destroyed; their families insulted, and their lives endangered; their persons injured; and seeing nothing in prospect that forebodes a change for the better; become tired of, and disgusted with, a Government that offers them no protection; and are not much averse to a change in which they imagine they have nothing to lose.

Thus, then, by the operation of this mobocractic spirit, which all must admit, is now abroad in the land, the strongest bulwark of any Government, and particularly of those constituted like ours, may effectually be broken down and destroyed—I mean the attachment of the People. Whenever this effect shall be produced among us; whenever the vicious portion of population shall be permitted to gather in bands of hundreds and thousands, and burn churches, ravage and rob provision-stores, throw printing presses into rivers, shoot editors, and hang and burn obnoxious persons at pleasure, and with impunity; depend on it, this Government cannot last…
