Afghan Outlet Warns US, Israel Headed for War with Turkey in Syria...

On April 13, 2026, Daily Shahadat, an Afghan media outlet belonging to former mujahideen commander Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, published an article arguing that the U.S. and Israel are headed in the direction of war with Turkey, with Syria being the likely battlefield.[1]

In the Dari-language article titled "War Begins With Words," the author Dr. Mohammadullah Darwazi argues that verbal escalation between Turkey and Israel has intensified, replacing diplomatic language with insults and provocative statements from officials on both sides.

Darwazi says that such rhetoric could signal a potential future military confrontation after the Iran War and describes a broader geopolitical scenario involving the U.S. and Israel targeting regional rivals. Wars begin with words, he says, warning that escalating political and media hostility may eventually lead to armed conflict if tensions continue.

Following are excerpts from the article:

"The Misfortune Is That The Israelis, Or In Other Words, The Americans, When They Decide On A War Plan, First Use The Force Of Division: They Keep One Side Silent And Tempted, And Strike The Other"

"The verbal war between Turkey and Israel has intensified. It seems that the time of pleasant diplomatic expressions has passed, and they have been replaced by another style of speech, that is, by shameful expressions.

"These shameful expressions are sometimes heard from Washington, the capital of Israel, and sometimes from Tel Aviv, the capital of America, reaching the ears of the world. The Israeli minister Ben Gvir, who is behind the approval of the law for the execution of Palestinian prisoners, wrote: Do you know English Erdoğan? I will... you...[2]
