Self-described feminists protesting strikes against Iran in Washington, D.C., are making common cause with a mosque backing the repressive Islamic regime.

Code Pink, which calls itself an anti-war “feminist grassroots organization,” collaborated with the Virginia-based Manassas Mosque and other allies for D.C. demonstrations on Feb. 10-11 and Monday against military action in Iran, Instagram posts show. The mosque called Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “our leader” in a now-deleted Sunday Instagram post, announcing a Ramadan meal in honor of his “martyrdom” after U.S.-Israeli attacks killed him on Saturday. (RELATED: Anti-Trump ‘No Kings’ Protests Supported By Socialist Orgs That Love Dictatorships)

Code Pink and Manassas Mosque did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s requests for comment. “Manassas Mosque extends its condolences and glad tidings on the martyrdom of His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei,” the mosque’s archived post said. “Please join us tomorrow night … to remember His Eminence as we navigate what our responsibilities are today.”

Iran’s theocratic government has faced international scorn and domestic protests for imposing strict religious rules on women, such as requiring them to cover their hair or suffer possible detainment or execution. Code Pink “feminists” have spent years portraying the U.S. as the Iranian people’s oppressor due to economic sanctions, and while condemning the regime’s suppression of protesters and activists on some occasions, Code Pink also “condemns the U.S. role in fomenting protests” via the sanctions.

Code Pink often lobbies or confronts lawmakers on Capitol Hill about so-called U.S. imperialism or human rights abuses despite its ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Manassas Mosque openly supports the 1979 revolution that gave radical Muslims control of Iran. The group also “firmly” backs Hamas, the Iran-backed terrorist group that slaughtered and raped civilians in its Oct. 7, 2023, invasion of Israel, its online posts show. Code Pink likewise defended Hamas’ barbarism in an October 2023 post on its website.

“We cannot pretend to be shocked by the resistance of the Palestinians, which follows 20 years of non-violent activism that has fallen on the deaf ears of those in power … Resistance is named as a human right in international humanitarian law and UN declaration 2625, yet an exception is consistently made for Palestinians,” the group declared.
