A viral video circulating on social media appears to show leftist agitators actively interfering with a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation targeting an alleged child predator in Minnesota.
The video, posted to X and viewed more than 750,000 times within hours, shows an ICE agent confronting individuals in St. Paul.
The agent said the anti-ICE activists were honking car horns and obstructing federal officers as they attempted to take a suspect into custody.
“We’re here to arrest a child sex offender, and you guys are out here honking,” the ICE agent says in the footage.
“No, we’re press,” someone off-camera responds.
“We’re not honking.”
The agent then points toward a nearby vehicle.
“That vehicle right there is honking and impeding our investigations while we’re trying to arrest a child sex offender,” he says.
“That’s who you guys are protecting. Insane.”

Video Shows Direct Interference With Federal Arrest
The footage cuts to the ICE agent standing in the snow next to a vehicle that repeatedly blasts its horn as officers work nearby.
“Trust me, I understand,” the agent says to someone inside the car before the horn blares again.
In another clip, the agent is seen speaking with occupants of a separate vehicle who question the legitimacy of the arrest and appear to try to divert him away from the operation.
At one point, a woman standing behind the agent’s vehicle can be heard shouting, “Just go. They’re lying.
“Don’t listen to them,” she added while waving the car forward, effectively encouraging interference with the federal arrest.
Federal Officials Condemn Interference
Responding to the video, Tricia McLaughlin, the Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, praised federal officers for continuing their work despite escalating harassment.
“God bless the men & women of [ICE] and [Customs and Border Protection] who risk their lives to arrest these criminals,” McLaughlin wrote on X.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, also weighed in, posting, “God Bless ICE,” a message later reposted by the official White House account.
Elon Musk reacted to the video with a single word: “Crazy.”
Tensions Escalate After Deadly Confrontation
The incident comes as tensions continue to escalate between federal immigration officers and activist groups in the Twin Cities region.
On January 7, Renee Good, 37, was fatally shot by an ICE officer after allegedly blocking an immigration operation and driving her vehicle into an agent, forcing him to open fire.
Federal officials described the incident as self-defense.
The agent whom Good rammed with her SUV was hospitalized with internal bleeding.
Since then, agitators have increasingly followed, harassed, and obstructed federal agents during enforcement operations, with some throwing snowballs, screaming obscenities through bullhorns, and crowding officers from just feet away.
Several confrontations have resulted in ICE agents deploying pepper spray and tear gas to maintain operational control and officer safety.
Trump Administration Prepares Military Support
Amid the rising unrest, President Donald Trump’s administration is preparing 1,500 troops for potential deployment to Minnesota, signaling that the federal government is prepared to escalate its response if state and local authorities fail to protect federal law enforcement.
The viral footage has intensified scrutiny of activist interference with immigration enforcement, with critics warning that obstructing the arrest of alleged child sex offenders represents a dangerous new escalation in the campaign against ICE.
As federal officers continue operations under hostile conditions, the video underscores a growing concern among conservatives: that political activism is increasingly crossing the line into direct obstruction of law enforcement and the protection of criminals.
