Aside from the jihadist enemies that surround it, Israel is also under urgent threat from within, given the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) death cult indoctrination that has saturated its people. It was exposed long ago that Palestinian children were being taught in school curricula to view Jews as enemies. There’s also jihad summer camp for kids, and the PA’s “Pay-For-Slay” program, which provides generous monthly payments to jailed jihad terrorists and their families. This fund also serves as a “martyrs’ fund” to reward the families of jihadists who died while committing attacks. Pay-for-Slay incentivizes the murder of Jews. Recall that Joe Biden was rallying full support behind the Palestinian Authority to manage Gaza after the war. Now comes news further exposing why that was a bad idea: “Palestinian Authority security forces are ‘building offensive force for surprise attack,’” by Josh Hasten, Israel Behind the News, April 14, 2026:

A new investigative report by the Regavim Movement warns that the Palestinian Authority Security Forces (PASF) function as a “shadow army” capable of posing a major threat to Israel, prompting calls from officials and security experts for an urgent review of the findings.

According to the March 24 report, “The Writing is on the Wall (of Jericho),” the Palestinian Authority is developing what Regavim describes as a “terror army in the heart of the state,” capable of launching a surprise attack on Israel on a scale far greater than the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas assault.

“At any moment, the Palestinian Authority Security Forces may mobilize against us, and the events of Oct. 7 will seem like a walk in the park in comparison,” Naomi Linder Kahn, director of the International Division of Regavim, told JNS on Tuesday.

According to the report, the PASF has evolved far beyond its intended role as a civilian police force under the 1995 Oslo II framework, which capped its size at 30,000 personnel equipped primarily with light arms for law enforcement duties….

JNS News addressed the same new Regavim report last month. It referenced the Palestinian Authority Security Forces functioning in reality as a “shadow army.”

Naomi Linder Kahn, director of the International Division of Regavim, told JNS that the Palestinian Authority Security Forces (PASF) was intended to be a civilian force. As such, it “capped its size at 30,000 personnel equipped primarily with light arms for law enforcement duties.” But it didn’t stay that way. The force “now numbers approximately 65,000 combat-trained personnel, including individuals with past terror convictions, and possesses weaponry suited for offensive operations, including grenade launchers, machine guns, armored vehicles and armor-piercing munitions.” Kahn further concluded that “every inch of the State of Israel is in danger.”

This news should come as no surprise to anyone, given the Palestinian “resistance” and the routine chant “From the river to the sea,” which really is a call to obliterate Israel from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.

A disconcerting number of Palestinians and their Western supporters celebrated October 7, amid chants to “globalize the Intifada.”

The Palestinian Authority’s National Charter calls for the obliteration of Israel. It has been said many times on Jihad Watch that the Palestinian Authority is no different from Hamas. Both bear the same goal to annihilate the state of Israel.

Adding a greater sense of urgency to the news of a Palestinian Authority army: Lt. Col. (res.) Maurice Hirsch, director of the Initiative for Palestinian Authority Accountability and Reform at the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs and former director of military prosecution for Judea and Samaria, warns that the “PASF should be viewed as a fully developed army.” In fact, Hirsch “noted that approximately 6,000 terrorists participated in the Oct. 7 Hamas-led massacre and warned that what he described as ‘the P.A. terror army’ is significantly larger and better trained.”

The world knows the atrocities of October 7. Imagine much worse, also given that the Palestinian Authority and its supporters are not only on Israel’s doorstep, but operating powerfully inside Israel. The Jerusalem Post reported in May that “Israel’s defense establishment warned of a sharp rise in involvement by Israeli Arabs in the Islamic State and armed Palestinian factions operating in the northern West Bank.”

Then in July, two perpetrators of a Judea and Samaria jihad terror attack turned out to be Palestinian Authority cops.

A year ago, the IDF discovered Hamas plans for a mass jihad attack in Judea, Samaria and central Israel. And a brigadier general warned that any released jihadi prisoners would wage jihad and build militias in Judea and Samaria, which poses extreme risk to Israelis. With the news about the Palestinian Authority army, the grave threat is magnified.

Add in the threat of Syria, under its jihadist President Ahmed al-Sharaa with al-Qaeda and Islamic State roots. Israel is forced to do whatever it must to survive, while the world singles it out as the aggressor.
