LATIN TO REMAIN
"It was the will of the Eternal
Father that one universal language be used along with, in comparison with,
together with the language of the land. This universal language, Latin, befit
and was chosen by the Eternal Father as a universal language for the universal
Church, the Roman Catholic Church under the leadership of Pope Paul VI, the
successor of Peter....
Because of the fall in Babylon, many new
languages were given because of the sin of Babylon. Therefore, as a member of
one country, My children, with a universal language, you carried with you your
own country's translation, and were you to visit abroad, you could enter upon
any foreign edifice, Church of My Son, and feel comfortable and in one with the
man, the priest, the one chosen by My Son to represent Him in His House.
If you were, My child, to go from your United States to France, could you
understand the words in French? But, My child, you would recognize the words in
Latin and you would have your book with you to read in your American language,
just as those in France could read in their French language, bringing upon the
world a beautiful and common bond of language among all who have been given the
grace to be called to the Roman Catholic Church of My Son.
Do
not leave My Son's Church though, My children, because they have taken this
language from among you. You must wait and persevere and weep with My Son for

Leaders of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP), a pontifical society of apostolic life whose charism centers on the faithful celebration of the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite (also referred to as Traditional Latin Mass), had a private audience with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican Jan. 19.
The fraternity said the half-hour meeting included a discussion of the society’s history and mission.
“This audience also provided an opportunity to evoke any misunderstandings and obstacles that the Fraternity encounters in certain places and to answer questions from the Supreme Pontiff,” an official Jan. 20 FSSP communiqué states. No specific issues were identified.
In the meeting, the Pope received the fraternity’s superior general, Father John Berg, who was accompanied by Father Josef Bisig, a co-founder of the society and former superior general who now serves as rector of Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton, Nebraska.

Read here: https://t.co/4PesERPKi0The meeting offered an opportunity, the fraternity said, to present Pope Leo with a fuller account of its foundation and history and what the apostolate offers to the faithful.
The communiqué said the priests also discussed the fraternity’s internal law and charism, which guide the spiritual formation of its members.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Pope Leo imparted his blessing, extending it to all members of the fraternity, according to the communiqué.
The FSSP concluded the statement by encouraging the faithful to continue praying during a 30-day novena leading up to Feb. 11, when it plans to renew its consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
