CAIR-NJ was caught handing out a back-to-school educational resource guide to K-12 students that whitewashes 9/11 by providing cover to terrorists, blaming the U.S. and Israel, and decrying Islamophobia. It was removed when it was uncovered. As the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 approaches, this should outrage all Americans.

We are quickly approaching the 25th anniversary commemoration of the horrific 9/11 attacks carried out by 19 Muslim terrorists who were guided by Osama bin Laden. That makes this story even worse. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in New Jersey was caught distributing an educational "guide" for K-12 students blaming the 9/11 terrorist attacks on American support for Israel. The guide was quickly removed following reporting by Jewish Onliner.

CAIR is the largest Muslim charity organization in the United States. It also has ties to terrorism, and Florida and Texas have designated it a terrorist organization. Founded in 1993, the organization was linked to Hamas in 2008 when U.S. authorities successfully prosecuted five leaders at the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, a now-defunct Texas-based nonprofit, for funneling more than $12 million to the terror group.

Whitewashing 9/11

The materials were originally released as part of the "Back to School Resource Guide" that went live on Monday. It listed false claims about the 2001 attacks, in which almost 3,000 Americans were murdered in the name of Islam. They were slaughtered in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on four hijacked commercial flights. Two flew into the Towers, one into the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93 was flown into the ground of a field in Pennsylvania when passengers stopped the terrorists aboard from carrying out another attack.

According to the New York Post, one claim was that the attacks themselves had not been planned and carried out by Islamic terrorists. Instead, the guide asserted it was by a "group self-identifying as Al Qaeda hailing from the mountains of Afghanistan."

It stipulated that "terrorism is defined differently by different groups of people."

The educational guide was titled "Muslim Studies Curriculum." It also contended that due to American involvement and its "vast presence" in the region, the attacks against the U.S. were justifiable. Further justification was cited due to continued support of Israel by the U.S. military in the Gulf War.

Creating an "Islamophobic" Culture

The guide even went so far as to accuse the United States of creating an "Islamophobic" culture after the 9/11 attacks that led to the Global War on Terror. Specifically, CAIR asserted that the words "terrorism" and "terrorist" were reserved solely for Muslims.

"While Islamophobia and anti-Muslim racism existed long before the 9/11 attacks, this time period marked a stark shift in U.S. policy and state-sponsored Islamophobia in the U.S. and abroad. There was immediate backlash against anyone perceived to be Muslim," the materials stated.

The guide suggested that the media unfairly targeted Muslims. Examples included "white supremacists" or "extreme animal rights activists" who were purportedly spared backlash when they also used "violence to further their cause."

Bin Laden’s "Letter to America" and Other Resources

Included in the guide was Osama bin Laden’s "Letter to America," listed as "resource material," which infamously stated: "Your law is the law of the rich and wealthy people, who hold sway in their political parties, and fund their election campaigns with their gifts. Behind them stand the Jews, who control your policies, media and economy."

The New York Post also noted that the movie "V for Vendetta," in which "a young woman living in a dystopian society meets a shadowy freedom fighter who is plotting to overthrow their tyrannical government," is among the recommended background resources.

The guide ignores the atrocities of the Hamas-led attacks on Oct. 7, 2023, that killed 1,200 Israelis, including dozens of children. However, it does address how to talk to kids about "genocide" and Gaza.

A Misinformation Campaign

This educational guide was not a mistake. Nicholas Haros Jr., whose mother Frances was killed on 9/11, said as much and pointed out that the misinformation campaign was intentional: "The further we get from 9/11, this new generation of kids will learn to blame our country. These kids are going to be poisoned – and that’s the intent."

Exactly.

Jewish community leaders were outraged over the guide, and with good reason.

"CAIR just nationalized a curriculum that refuses to call the 9/11 hijackers terrorists, assigns Osama bin Laden’s ‘Letter to America’ as high-school reading, and coaches five-year-olds on Gaza without ever naming Hamas or October 7. That is not inclusion – it’s dangerous propaganda," railed Moshe Spern, President of United Jewish Teachers.

CAIR is a National Security Threat

RAIR Foundation USA has been raising the alarm about CAIR for years. Others, such as Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), have joined in calling attention to the threat. He sent a letter almost a year ago to Education Secretary Linda McMahon, dated September 9, 2025, with a warning.

"I write to alert you to the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ (CAIR) efforts to influence K-12 schools … It is well documented that CAIR has deep ties to pro-Hamas terrorist organizations and publicly supports Hamas’s terrorist activities," Cotton wrote.

"Such an organization should never have access to our nation’s children," he warned, adding, "The organization offers ‘educational’ materials on its website that perpetuate pro-terrorist, anti-Israel rhetoric. CAIR Philadelphia recently issued guidance for educators titled ‘Remembering and Reflecting: Teaching September 11, 2001, in Diverse Classrooms.’ The guide directs teachers to avoid using ‘inaccurate and inflammatory terms such as ‘Islamic terrorists,’ ‘jihadists,’ or ‘radical Islamic terrorists’ when describing the September 11 terrorists."

"The U.S. Department of Education must ensure that CAIR is not given an opportunity to push its radical, pro-terrorist, anti-Israel ideology on American schoolchildren," he concluded.

The only reason that CAIR pulled that educational guide is that they got caught. Odds are that it is quietly being used in other schools. They are whitewashing the atrocities of 9/11 just as they have 10/7, and CAIR will keep doing so as long as they can get away with it.

The blood of almost 3,000 Americans still cries out for justice 25 years after they were murdered by Islamic terrorists. No real justice over the attacks has ever been doled out. Bin Laden was killed many years after the attack, but the Islamic leaders in Iran and Saudi Arabia, as well as other Islamic countries, that were behind the attacks never paid a price. Jihadists involved in the attacks still sit in Gitmo, with ever getting to trial being a very real question.

Meanwhile, the left threw open our country to millions of Muslims in the name of diversity and fairness after 9/11. The country should have been locked down to the followers of Islam out of national security concerns, but we insanely did the exact opposite. America literally invited the barbarians in through the gates, and their conquest from within is well underway.
