Dear Vincent,

Urgent! When you visit Rome on your upcoming journey, Our Blessed Mother requests that you take along 2 (two) copies of the book Occulations from Heaven for the Pope only. These are Her directions:

The booklets must be handed to him, the front cover of St. Theresa showing.
Should someone else try to take them—don’t surrender them until the Pope knows what they are.

Tell him if he has already seen them before, them give them to someone else to show to pass on near him. Be firm.

All of Heaven’s graces in a shower of Roses!

May 8, 1993

Dear Veronica,

On Wednesday, April 21, 1993, thirty-four pilgrims of Our Lady of the Roses attended the General Audience with the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, together with pilgrims from all over the world.

We arrived for the General Audience in St. Peter’s Square at approximately 8:30 am as the Audience was scheduled for 11 am until 2 pm. We were seated with other pilgrims from Poland. From 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. we were praying the Rosary and disseminating Our Lady’s messages.

I was determined to see the Holy Father and give him the two booklets Occulations from Heaven, which Our Blessed Mother requested me to do.

It was approximately 11:20 am, when with the help of the Blessed Mother, I made it all the way. I climbed over chairs until finally got to the center aisle barrier. I stood on a chair where some children were standing. The Pope was walking towards me down the aisle shaking hands and talking with various pilgrims.

I was holding in my hands two copies of the booklet Occulations from Heaven. I handed the two booklets face up to him, the front cover of St. Theresa showing. He took the two booklets with his hands, holding them tightly. He looked at the front cover showing St. Theresa’s picture.

I said, “Most Holy Father, Our Blessed Mother requests that you take these two copies of Occulations from Heaven by St. Theresa; you roust read them. Please, Holy Father, you must read them, especially page fifteen, Exhortation poem by St. Theresa.” The Holy Father said, “Yes! Yes!” I insisted, “Holy Father, your must read the booklets, especially page fifteen. Our Blessed Mother wants you to read them.” The Pope said, “Yes! Yes! I will read them.”

He then turned to his personal body guard and handed the two booklets to him. He said to his bodyguard, “I want them back.” The bodyguard put the two booklets in the inside pocket of his coat jacket. The Pope squeezed my hands and said “Yes.” Then he blessed me.

As I stepped down from the chair I was attacked verbally and physically by some women. They were hitting me on the back and over my head with their handbags. They were pulling at my coat jacket and screaming at me. I guess I got them a little upset since I got between them and the Pope.

When I returned to my seat and after relating the good news to my fellow pilgrims of Our Lady of the Roses, several of us smelled a beautiful aroma of tobacco. The beautiful aroma of the tobacco smell was an indication to me that Padre Pio was with us and the mission was a success.

While praying the Rosary in thanksgiving to Jesus, Our Lady of the Roses, St. Theresa, St. Michael, and Padre Pio for the success of the mission several of us got a beautiful smell of roses.

I had given Lena Iannetta a box containing all of our Lady’s messages and sacramentals. He was given some Mass cards as a birthday present. His birthday is May 18th. At 1 p.m. Lena gave him the box.

We asked him for a special blessing for Veronica, and all the workers and pilgrims of Our Lady of the Roses Shrine. The Holy Father clasped our hands and said, “Yes.” He then gave his blessing.

I pray that the booklets, Occulations from Heaven, given to the Holy Father, will produce an abundance of fruits.

Later, as Veronica and Vincent were speaking on the telephone Our Lady spoke to Veronica in locution: "Mission Accomplished."

On Sunday, May16, 1993 at 1:50 pm., Our Lady spoke to Veronica in locution:
“Mission accomplished.”

This occurred towards the end of a phone conversation that Veronica was having with Vincent McDonnell, who was enlarging upon his successful pilgrimage that he led to Rome. They were also discussing whether or not the Pope would actually read the booklet.
