Canada Free Press reported on August 5, 2014:
“Why do the Knights of Columbus keep refusing to expel the pro-abortion, pro-homosexual-agenda politicians they harbor in their midst?” asks Kenneth M. Fisher, head of Concerned Roman Catholics of America. Says Fisher, “The Knights’ 132nd Annual Supreme Convention, in Orlando this August 2-7, is the perfect time for them to live up to their Catholic ideals, and their own rules, by deciding to kick out the bad guys.” However, perhaps the reason they won’t abide by their own Constitutions Article 162-7 is that it may cost them their tax exemption that would endanger their Supreme Officers lucrative salaries including Supreme Knight, Carl Anderson’s over 2.1 Million dollar/yr. compensation!
The Knights, a 1.8-million-member Catholic men’s fraternal order, do much good, says Fisher, who is a Knight himself: “We devote millions of man-hours to good works and we give millions of dollars to charitable causes.” But, he notes, “At the same time, the Knights’ Supreme Council gives great scandal by refusing to allow local councils to rid themselves of the pro-abortion politicians who take advantage of their K of C membership to masquerade as good Catholics.”
“Year after year,” says Fisher, “the anti-life politicians keep giving taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood and facilitating the aborting of millions of innocent babies in every way they can. Yet Supreme Knight Carl Anderson and the rest of the Supreme Council keep letting these pro-abortion politicians parade around as legitimate Knights. By doing so they are telling Catholics and the world that good Catholics can be pro-abortion. This is a grave scandal and it endangers souls.”
“And now things are even worse,” Fisher continues. “These politicians are backing the federal government’s efforts to coerce Catholic institutions and individuals into paying for abortions and contraceptives. The anti-life politicians want to force their fellow Knights, and all Catholics, to violate their consciences, and to commit mortal sins! They are actually, literally persecuting the Catholic Church, yet the K of C Supreme Council seems to have no problem with them!”
He also asks grassroots Knights councils, and individual Knights, to contact Supreme Knight Anderson right away and ask him to pray, rethink things, ponder the scandal the Knights are giving, and set the ball rolling for local councils to finally expel all pro-abortion and pro-homosexual-agenda Knights.
