If history has taught us one thing, it is that words have meaning.  Words then translate into movements, that in time often become policies of nations—whether they be good, or bad. In previous generations it would have been unthinkable to imagine the national debates now taking place in the United States. Flagrant lunacy is now on the table as national domestic initiatives by the democratic party in the United States. We will discuss that it is not democratic in any way, but an agenda by another name.

The discussions among American people of all backgrounds today would have been in the past a script from The Twilight Zone. Narrated by Rod Serling in the late 1950’s and early 60’s, it was popular for several years on American television, and it was about the absurd and the bizarre. However, much of it was based on real stories. We are now living in real time, The Twilight Zone.

Since Machiavelli and Antonio Gramsci, few have been as effective for evil in our modern culture as Saul Alinsky, and George Soros. Machiavelli gave the world a prescription for the means justifying the ends with his book The Prince. In other words, win followers, but have your goals and end game in mind. The philosophy is, “say and do what needs to be said no matter who you are with to further your agenda.” The left has penetrated all religious denominations in America using this formula. Antonio Gramsci, co-founder of the Italian Communist Party, after visiting Moscow in 1922, said the Bolshevik Revolution would fail because it was too violent for the Russian Christian soul. He devised another path to socialist control, as he was clear in his writings the Russian Revolution would ultimately fail.

Gramsci then came up with another plan after being thrown into prison by Mussolini. Il Duce (Leader) feared Gramsci could become more popular than him, and a threat to his dictatorship so he incarcerated Gramsci on his return from Moscow. Writing in his prison notebooks, Gramsci made the plan for socialism more satisfactory than revolutionary communism, and easy to follow because it was not as violent. It was more palatable to the citizenry, along with radical revolutionary people wanting change in Italy. Gramsci’s was a plan to infiltrate places of power from within, keep your agenda quiet, and overtake the system informing no one other than confreres of your collaborative intent. Gradual incrementalism was his answer to violence in the street, and key to take over institutions of power and authority.

It is for this reason, that the London School of Economics, as a hotbed of Fabianism, has as its symbol the turtle. One must remember, the turtle beat the rabbit in the race. Also, in Surrey England, a place of intellectual thought on Fabianism, has a stained glass window on the premises of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. To a believer, this is a despicable thought, but to a revolutionary, it is admirable, and a means to an end. To the socialist/communist, it is a highly laudable plan of action, and for many generations now, followed by the left. At this point in time this highly effective anti-Christian strategy has been effective in the takeover of academia, government at all levels, the Church, with the entire culture having been infected with leftist thinking. The Judeo Christian foundation of our country is gradually sinking due to institutional longitudinal rot, and fighting for its life. Western Civilization and Christianity itself is hanging by a thread.

When a culture gets to this depraved and reprobate phase, the present era will pass away — and a new one will begin. When a man calls himself a woman and vice versa, and the government actually embraces and supports that ideology, and persecutes another who won’t submit to its thinking, we have reached a low level of sanity. This has been the plan of the modern day Bolsheviks, and what is known as the democratic party. Their plans have been highly codified, organized, and well funded by the radical left. America is swiftly moving towards communism, not socialism.

Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen wrote about communism and said, “Whenever a civilization begins to die morally and spiritually, then there begins to appear vultures. Communism is a scavenger of a decaying civilization.  It makes its way into a country and into a culture only when that culture begins to rot from the inside.”

Bella Dodd, Saul Alinsky, & George Soros—The Continuation of Evil

In the early 1950’s Bella Dodd was a ranking official in the Communist Party of America, who had been raised a Catholic and was welcomed back into the Church by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. In her autobiography, School of Darkness, Dodd writes extensively about her thinking as a communist, and her transition to Christianity. 

As an insider to the inner thinking and actions of the American Communist Party, (ACP), after the depression years of New York, she had a unique view, and was articulate on the agenda of the communist party.  Speaking before the U.S. Congress in the 1950’s she gave testimony how the Communist Party had infiltrated the Roman Catholic Church. She said, “In the 1930’s we put eleven hundred men in the priesthood in order to destroy the church from within. Right now they are in the highest places in the Church.” In her autobiography she spoke about being expelled from the Communist Party. For something as simple as reading any book not approved by the Party, you would be watched. If a book was not in conformity to Party ideology, it would not be allowed to be read or on the shelves in New York headquarters.  Sound familiar with the tech giants of today censoring Christian books in all forms of social media?

In a lecture at Fordham University Dodd said, “In 1944, there was a national convention for the Communist Party, which I was elected to the national committee openly in Madison Square Garden. During that convention there were many people that came from all over the United States. One of the social events I attended was a dinner given by Alexander Trachtenberg, who is a known socialist, graduate of Yale, millionaire….who is head of the publishing firm for the communists. At the end of that evening, Trachtenberg rose and made a little speech. He said, “when we get ready to take the United States we will not take it under the label of socialism. These labels are unpleasant to the American people, and have been spared too much. We will take the United States under labels we have made loveable. We’ll take it under liberalism, under progressivism, under democracy. But take it we will.”   

According to Dodd, a particular target the communists had to destroy was Senator Joe McCarthy because of his investigations into communist activities in the U.S.  Hollywood then aligned with Saul Alinsky for a full-scale assault to destroy his reputation. A few years after the McCarthy hearings, the government released the Venona Files which substantiated and verified what McCarthy had said was correct. Hollywood and the U.S. Department of State had been at that time the most infiltrated with communist activity. McCarthy developed an alcohol addiction, and died prematurely at just forty-eight years old.

Saul Alinsky (1909-1972), a hardened atheist in his Rules for Radicals, picked up where Machiavelli, Gramsci, and others left off. His book was a manual for creating chaos, and as Sun Tsu’s Rules for Warfare, it is based on deception. It was precise in methods to be used which was just one reason for its popularity. Alinsky’s social programs were heavily funded by Catholic prelates who thought they were helping the poor, but were in reality doing the direct opposite. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (a USCCB Program) is a movement created by Alinsky that morphed very quickly into a social justice program void of Christian teaching. It was a Trojan Horse approach to infiltrate Christian denominations, but particularly the Roman Catholic Church. The Catholic Church was too organized, too large, and too powerful to openly confront, so a page was taken out of the Masonic playbook of the French Revolution. Infiltration from within the Church became the method to remold it to their vision. The Catholic Church had to be eliminated to bring about their dystopian communist agenda, and the turtle was their animal of choice.

The designers planned its coup using church hierarchy as Lenin’s useful idiots. It was a horizontal approach to the gospel message of man to man without a vertical approach to God. The first three commandments became irrelevant to the left. TO control the narrative, they did not want God in the discussion. The social justice programs we see so prevalent today are an outgrowth of how effective Alinsky and others have been with their stealth approach. Alinsky worked with close friend and confidante Monsignor John Egan of Chicago.  For fourteen years Notre Dame University was their base of operations. Appearing as the sheep to help the poor in the Church, its agenda was to socialize the Church without Catholics being aware they had been taken over. A little sedation at a time was the prescription until they fall to sleep.

In Jacques Maritain’s The Peasant of Garonne (1966), the celebrated Catholic philosopher and theologian called Alinsky, “an authentic revolutionary and one of my closest friends…an indomitable and dreaded organizer of people’s organizations, and an anti-racist leader with methods that are as efficacious as they are unorthodox.” Today, there are over 800 Alynskian type programs throughout the United States alone, wreaking havoc on the intellectual landscape of youth on what it means to be a disciple of Christ.

Alinsky’s group think was called The Open Society. Continuing another iteration of chaos, and becoming the de facto standard bearer of chaos, confusion, and evil, was/is George Soros. Soros adopted the same name for his umbrella organization— The Open Society. Today Soros has several hundred leftist programs which he funds under the innocuous name of Media Matters.  

Socialism and communism look good on paper to a college freshman philosophy student, however, there isn’t a single success story in world history —anywhere. Communism brings destruction and ruin wherever it rears its ugly head.  

To bring about change and end this thinking, people must understand words have meaning, and when nonsense is spoken, people must speak against it with prudence and calm. It will be love and humility that will win people over. The battle we face is between good and evil, and we must recognize that, and use the tools Heaven has given us to defeat evil.
