Crisis of Faith

As reported by the BBC News on June 13, 2002, “This is the greatest crisis ever to face the American Church,” and “This crisis has caused many American Catholics to doubt the word of their bishops.”

The current crisis cannot be properly understood without reference to the REAL Third Secret of Fatima, which predicted an unprecedented crisis of Faith throughout the world in which satan would enter the Church and rule from the highest places of the Catholic hierarchy. As horrendous as the clerical sex abuse scandal is, it is but one of many symptoms pointing to worldwide crisis of Faith predicted by Our Lady of Fatima. Commenting on the first line of the REAL Third Secret (“In Portugal, the dogma of Faith will always be preserved, etc."), the great Fatima historian Father Joaquin Alonso had this to say:

"The phrase (i.e., the first line of the Secret) most clearly implies a critical state of faith, which other nations will suffer, that is to say, a crisis of faith, while Portugal will preserve its faith."

Fr. Alonso also wrote:

"If in Portugal the dogma of faith will always be preserved, it can be clearly deduced from this that in other parts of the Church these dogmas are going to become obscure or even lost altogether. It is quite possible that the message . . . makes concrete references to internal strife among Catholics and to the deficiencies of priests and religious . . . it may imply deficiencies even among the upper ranks of the hierarchy."

The “deficiencies even among the upper ranks of the hierarchy” are now front page news. The destruction of our Catholic Faith is what the REAL Third Secret is all about. Just as the incidents of priest sex-abuse were suppressed and hidden from the world, so too the REAL Third Secret was also suppressed, because of the hierarchy’s “fear of exposure.”

“Don’t settle for eloquent apologies”

It is indicative of the crisis of Faith predicted in the REAL Third Secret that traditional Catholic speakers were excluded at the bishops’ meeting in Dallas. These speakers would have drawn attention to the source of the problem: the theological dissent and schismatic bent embraced by many bishops and priests, and the rotten seminary system which has allowed a pro-homosexual agenda to flourish in the Catholic Church in the United States.

The statements of the victims, who have firsthand experience of the deceit and irresponsibility among the U.S. bishops, is revealing. One abuse victim warned all Catholics, “Don’t settle for eloquent apologies, don’t settle for pledges to do better in the future.” (ABC News, June 13, 2002)

Abuse victim Michael Bland, of Chicago, told the bishops how he joined the priesthood but then left after trying to convince church leaders to take action against his molester. He urged the prelates to get rid of all those who abuse children. "The priesthood lost me but kept the perpetrator," Bland said. "The church has taken care of him."

According to a June 14, 2002 Newsmax article:

Michael Bland urged the bishops to adopt a zero-tolerance policy in dealing with abusive priests. He took issue with a proposed draft that treats past abuse more leniently than future cases. "As a victim and a thriving survivor I believe there should be a zero tolerance for the immoral, sinful and criminal act of sexually abusing a minor," he said. "Zero tolerance ... past, present and future."

Mark Serrano, a survivor network leader who is now 38, held up a picture of himself at age 12 and told of his rape by a priest. "Listening comes easy. Talk comes cheap. Moral action is priceless," he said. Serrano insisted that cardinals and bishops should be "fired or defrocked" if they failed to protect youths.

Serrano said, “We came to Dallas seeking zero tolerance. We got zero accountability.”

David Clohessy, SNAP's [Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests] national director, said members of his group spent most of their two hours with church leaders pressing for some mechanism to discipline bishops who fail to comply with whatever national policy is approved. But he said the bishops made no promises on their request. (“Victims, bishops, discuss sex abuse,” Fox News, June 13, 2002)

Anne Hagan-Webb, who was a victim of child rape over a 10-year period, referring to the U.S. bishops, said: "They are beyond criminal. They knew and they set these people loose among children year after year."

BBC News on June 13, 2002 reported:

Many victims want those church officials who moved known paedophiles from parish to parish to be sacked. "The bishops that have moved those accused priests, knowing the allegations against them, ought to be stepping down," said David Clohessy, president of Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests. (“Bishops’ summit opens with apology,” BBC News, June 13, 2002)

“The picture is harrowing”

WorldNetDaily columnist Mary Jo Anderson writes that of the 700 or so media personnel who converged on Dallas, “Not one in a hundred, however, will report what is really happening in Dallas because they simply don't know which dots to connect. When the set of concealed dots is connected, the picture within the picture is harrowing.”

Harrowing the picture is. Connect the dots correctly, and you have the essence of the Third Secret of Fatima: satan has entered and now controls the highest positions of power in the Catholic Church. To deny this reality is either to be blind, or to be in a pathetic state of denial:

"As I warned you in the past and you did not listen, unless you prayed more, did more penance, sacrifice, communism would go throughout your world, ravishing nations, destroying your Faith, entering into the highest places of My Son's House. Can you deny what is happening now in your world? Remove the blindness from your eyes and look!" - Our Lady, March 18, 1977

"I say this evening, as your God, that on that date [1972], as promised at Fatima, satan entered My Church upon earth. He brought with him his agents--and satan himself, the deceiver of all mankind--sat in on Vatican II and maneuvered all the outsiders to come in and distort My doctrines and distort the truth.
     "At Fatima, My Mother tried to warn of this coming event, but who cared to listen? Who was interested in listening? Not those who were years--earth-years away. All Heaven was crying in that time, for the Eternal Father had made it known how His message would be received. To this day, to your earth-year of 1986, you have not been given, My children, the full secrets as given to the children at Fatima.
     "Therefore, I must make it known at this time to you. If you are perceiving and interested in My Church upon earth, I do not have to explain Myself too fully; for you will already know of the chaos that satan has wrought when he entered My Church. And why did he enter, you say? This I want it made known, My child--and you will not be affrighted as you are now--you will speak out for Me and My Mother, and the Eternal Father in the Holy Spirit; you will speak out and say that satan is in the Church, My Church upon earth. He knows his time is growing short.
     "And if you think you have seen carnage now already in the Church, the worst is yet to come, unless you follow the rules, given by My Mother many years ago, of prayer, atonement, and sacrifice. By your example you may be able to save others. For soon there will come upon you the great Chastisement. It comes in two parts, My child and My children: the Third World War and, also, the Ball of Redemption.” – Jesus, June 18, 1986
