The “conversion of Russia”: what does it really mean?
"My Son, His heart is
torn asunder by His representatives in the priesthood who now are Judases in
His own House. They consort with the enemies of your God. In the manner of
humanism and modernism, and an ecumenism that has been designed from hell,
man now is plunging fast into making ready the full capitulation of My Son's
Church and the world under a dictatorship of evil.
"When the world and My Son's Church becomes as one, when the evil men of
the cross have sought to destroy My Son within His own House, know that the
end is near at hand. I say unto you, as your Mother: as you sow, so shall

In 1917, Our Lady of Fatima said, “In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”
Victor Khroul (director of the Information Center of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of Russia) says that the conversion of Russia has nothing to do with being or not being Catholic. A Zenit article on February 16, 2005, reports:
Khroul, who is also editor of the Catholic weekly Svet Evangelia, said that when one speaks of "the conversion of Russia" one must understand that it means "the passing from non-belief to the Christian faith," and must not be confused with being or not being Catholic.
The true
meaning of "conversion"
Now let’s hear from one of the greatest of all Fatima experts, Fr. Joaquin Alonso (the official archivist of Fatima), who had talked with Sister Lucy many times:
"the 'conversion' of Russia is not to be limited to the return of the Russian people to the Orthodox Christian religions, rejecting the Marxist atheism of the Soviets, but rather, it refers purely, plainly and simply to the total, integral conversion of Russia to the one true Church of Christ, the Catholic Church."
There is only one true Christian Church that dates back to Christ, founded on St. Peter, and promised by Christ that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. That Church is the Roman Catholic Church. All other Christian religions are separated from the authority of the Vicar of Christ (the Pope), and espouse various heresies contrary to the teachings of Christ. All other Christian religions were founded by merely sinful men; they were not founded by Christ Himself.
Pope Pius XI clearly stated:
"For if, as they continually state, they long to be united with Us and ours, why do they not hasten to enter the Church, the Mother and mistress of all Christ's faithful?" (Pope Pius XI, encyclical Mortalium animos, January 6, 1928)
Also, Pope Pius XII warned about ambiguous words regarding union with the one true Church, the Roman Catholic Church:
“The Catholic doctrine will have to be proposed and expressed totally and integrally: what the Catholic Church teaches about the true nature and means of justification, about the constitution of the Church, about the primacy of the jurisdiction of the Roman Pontiff, about the only true union which is accomplished with the return of the dissidents to the only true Church of Christ, must not be passed over in silence or covered over in ambiguous words.” (Pope Pius XII, “On the Ecumenical Movement,” December 20, 1949)
Russia is far from conversion
Bishop Werth (the Catholic Bishop of Siberia) has warned of a "‘new wave of persecution’ against the Catholic Church in the [Russian] federation…." and reminds us that "only 1% of Russian Orthodox go to church."
In Russia today there are two abortions for every live birth.
In April 1993, Boris Yeltsin allowed homosexuality to be decriminalized. Homosexuality is now "legal" in Russia.
Under Russia's 1997 law on ‘freedom of conscience' the Catholic Church is barely allowed to exist, and is legally forbidden to make converts among the Orthodox and other religious groups.
Associated Press reported on August 9,
2001, "Russia has turned into a world trash bin of child pornography."

Presently, there are less Catholics in all of Russia than in the scandal-plagued
Archdiocese of Boston.
There has been no conversion of Russia back to the one true Faith, nor to a practice of the Ten Commandments.
